Which airport is closest to your GTA hotel?
For downtown and waterfront hotels, Billy Bishop (YTZ) is usually only a few kilometres away, while Pearson (YYZ) is roughly 25–30 km. Hotels along the airport strip, in Mississauga and in Brampton are closest to Pearson. Hamilton (YHM) suits hotels in Burlington, Hamilton and the west end of Halton.
Which airport you fly into changes the length of the drive more than anything else. The tables below list hotels and resorts across the Greater Toronto Area and Hamilton, grouped by area, with the road distance and the drive time from each of the three airports. Each figure is the shortest road route at free-flowing traffic, calculated from the hotel's mapped location. Add margin at rush hour: weekday mornings into the core and late afternoons on the 401, the Gardiner and the QEW can double a cross-town time.
How to use the hotel tables

- Find the area first. Downtown and waterfront hotels sit together, as do the Yorkville and midtown hotels, the airport strip and each 905 city.
- Compare the three airports. A traveller with a choice of flights can often save more time by choosing the right airport than by choosing a faster car.
- Book with the hotel name. Enter the hotel in the booker as the drop-off. The fare shown is fixed for that address, date and vehicle, and it is all-in before you pay.
The list comes from public map data (OpenStreetMap) and is refreshed when the site is rebuilt; drive times are road-routing estimates. For events and neighbourhood guides, Destination Toronto is the city's official visitor site. Hotels open, close and rebrand often in Toronto, so if yours is not listed, simply type its address into the booker: every address in the GTA is served.
Pearson (YYZ) to your hotel
Toronto Pearson is the arrival point for most visitors. Every airport pickup includes flight tracking and free waiting after landing: 60 minutes on international arrivals and 30 on domestic. The chauffeur meets you at the arrivals level, and the exact meeting point is in your confirmation. Read the full Pearson airport limo guide for terminal-by-terminal detail. If you are travelling light to a hotel near Union Station, the UP Express train is a fair alternative and the page says when.
Billy Bishop (YTZ) to your hotel
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is on the Toronto Islands, connected to the mainland by a pedestrian tunnel and a short ferry. The car meets you on the mainland side at Eireann Quay, at the foot of Bathurst Street. For a downtown hotel this is often the shortest airport transfer in the city. See the Billy Bishop airport guide, and the airport's own tunnel and ferry information.

Hamilton (YHM) to your hotel
John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport is south of Hamilton, near Mount Hope. It is the closest airport for hotels in Hamilton and Burlington and a practical option for Oakville and Milton. Downtown Toronto is a longer drive from Hamilton than from Pearson. See the Hamilton airport guide and the airport's ground transportation page.
Resorts and getaways near the GTA
Resorts and spa hotels at the edges of the region are listed in their own area groups. For cottage country further north, see Muskoka and Blue Mountain. For Niagara's hotels and wineries, see Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Choosing a vehicle for a hotel transfer
Count the large suitcases. An executive sedan takes up to three passengers with two large and two carry-on bags. A luxury SUV takes up to six with five or six large bags, and an executive Sprinter takes 12 to 14 passengers with luggage. Compare them on the fleet page. Wedding parties and conference groups arriving at one hotel often book several vehicles timed to the same flight. The event transportation page explains how that works.
Frequently asked questions
How far is downtown Toronto from Pearson airport?
The Financial District and the waterfront hotels are roughly 25–30 km from Pearson by road. With no traffic that is about 25–30 minutes; at rush hour allow 45 minutes or more. Exact figures for each hotel are in the tables on this page.
Is Billy Bishop closer to downtown hotels than Pearson?
Yes. Billy Bishop is on the Toronto Islands, a few kilometres from the downtown core, so transfers to downtown and waterfront hotels are short. Pearson is the better choice for the airport strip, Mississauga, Brampton and the northwest GTA.
Which hotels are closest to Hamilton airport?
Hotels in Hamilton and Burlington are the closest, and Oakville and Milton are within a reasonable drive. Check the Hamilton column in the tables for each hotel's distance.
Can I book a transfer to a hotel that is not listed?
Yes. Every address in the GTA is served. Type the hotel's name or address into the booker and it shows the fixed fare for that address.
Do you wait if my flight is late?
Yes. Every airport pickup is tracked and the chauffeur's arrival moves with your actual landing time. Free waiting starts after landing: 60 minutes on international arrivals and 30 on domestic.
Can you take us from the hotel back to the airport?
Yes. Book the return as a separate trip with the hotel as the pickup. Leave enough time for check-in and security. For US-bound flights from Pearson, US preclearance happens at the airport, so allow extra time.
How much is a transfer from Pearson to my hotel?
The booker shows the exact all-in fare for your hotel, date and vehicle before you pay. We don't publish a price list, because the fare depends on the exact address and the vehicle you choose.
