What is the best way to book a limo to the Westin Harbour Castle?
Open the TorontoBlackLimousine.net booker and enter 1 Harbour Square as the pickup or drop-off, with your flight or time and passenger count. Billy Bishop is about 3 km and 5 minutes away, Pearson about 28 km and 26 minutes in free flow. The booker shows the exact fare before you confirm.
The Westin Harbour Castle has a position no other large Toronto hotel shares: it stands on the water at the foot of Bay Street, with the harbour in front and the Gardiner Expressway and the rest of downtown behind. That position makes a Westin Harbour Castle limo service unusually useful in one direction and slightly awkward in another. Billy Bishop airport is nearer than from almost any other hotel in the city, and the Toronto Island ferry terminal is a few steps from the lobby. On the other hand, the hotel's own address, 1 Harbour Square, is tucked off the main road, so a clear plan for the pickup door saves time.
This page covers airport transfers, hourly corporate days, large gala evenings and the honest cases where walking or a ferry is simpler than a car. Everything is booked through our Toronto dispatch and the online booker, which shows a fixed fare before you pay.
The hotel in brief
The Westin Harbour Castle is at 1 Harbour Square, Toronto, Ontario M5J 1A6. The building opened in 1975 as the Harbour Castle Hotel, was run by Hilton from 1977, and became a Westin in 1987. It has two towers. After a guest-room revitalization announced for its 50th anniversary, the hotel is described as having 977 rooms; the original building had 963. Destination Toronto's listing for the hotel adds an Italian restaurant, Toula, on the 38th floor, a gym, an indoor heated pool and a Four Diamond rating, and says the hotel is less than 30 minutes from Pearson.

Westin is a Marriott International brand, so the hotel's sales team is the right contact for event specifics such as room capacities and loading arrangements. TorontoBlackLimousine.net is independent of the hotel; we do not claim a partnership, and the hotel does not endorse us.
How the waterfront address works
Harbour Square sits between the harbour and Queens Quay West, with the ferry docks nearby. The City of Toronto's ferry page places the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal at 9 Queens Quay West, at the corner of Queens Quay West and Bay Street, and says it is about 100 metres south of that intersection, behind the Westin Harbour Castle. That single fact tells you how crowded the surrounding streets become on a summer weekend.
For a driver, three things matter:
- Event and ferry traffic. In peak ferry season the roads near the terminal fill with families, and the City says waits at the terminal can exceed 30 to 60 minutes at busy times.
- The Gardiner and Lake Shore. Approaches from the west and east both rely on these roads; check traffic before a tight flight.
- The pickup door. The hotel publishes its address, not a driveway diagram, so the chauffeur confirms the exact pickup point with you on the day. Expect a message on the morning of travel.
If you are meeting colleagues at the lobby, give us a mobile number; the reception area is large.
Airports compared: Billy Bishop, Pearson and Hamilton

| Airport | Distance | Free-flow time | Rush-hour plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Billy Bishop (YTZ), mainland pickup at Eireann Quay | about 3 km | about 5 min | 10–20 min |
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ), Terminals 1 and 3 | about 28 km | about 26 min | 40–70 min |
| Hamilton (YHM) | about 84 km | about 75 min | 95–135 min |
The distances run from each airport's normal pickup point to Harbour Square. The Pearson run is the one that varies most: a Sunday morning is quick, a Thursday afternoon on the 427 and Gardiner is not. Always allow the rush-hour column when a meeting or a flight depends on the clock.
Billy Bishop: the shortest airport run in Toronto
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport lies across the Western Gap, and the airport's to and from page explains how travellers reach it from the mainland. A pedestrian tunnel makes the trip in under six minutes on foot; an electric ferry crosses in about 90 seconds; taxis collect from a corral to the right of the mainland pavilion at the foot of Eireann Quay; and a complimentary shuttle runs between the airport and Union Station about every 15 minutes. Rideshare uses the pavilion curb.
From the Westin, the plan is straightforward: a car takes you to the mainland pavilion in about five minutes in light traffic, and you walk through the tunnel to the terminal. When you land, the chauffeur meets you at the pavilion and drives the 3 km back to Harbour Square. The Billy Bishop airport limo page lists the pickup details, and the Billy Bishop private aviation page covers business jets.
Honest advice: if you have one carry-on and ten minutes spare, the airport shuttle from Union Station or even a walk-and-tunnel journey can match a car. A car is better with a suit bag, a family, wet weather or a client you want to impress.
Pearson and the train from the airport
Pearson Terminals 1 and 3 are handled on our Pearson airport limo page. Flight tracking is included, and you get 60 minutes of free waiting after an international landing and 30 minutes after a domestic one.

The alternative is UP Express. The UP Express site advertises the trip from Pearson to Union Station in 28 minutes, with stops at Bloor, Mount Dennis and Weston. Union is about 1 km from the Westin, which means a ten-to-fifteen-minute walk or a short car ride. For a single traveller that is excellent value. For a group with luggage, it adds a transfer. See Toronto Union Station if you arrive by VIA Rail or GO instead.
| Option | Time to Harbour Square | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| UP Express to Union plus a short ride | about 45–60 min from Pearson | lowest | One traveller, light bags |
| Billy Bishop tunnel or ferry plus a short ride | about 15–25 min from the terminal | lowest | Travellers from YTZ with one bag |
| Taxi from the airport | about 30–60 min from Pearson | meter | Single arrivals without a plan |
| Rideshare | about 30–60 min from Pearson | meter plus surge | Short-notice trips |
| TorontoBlackLimousine.net car | about 26–60 min from Pearson | fixed fare via booker | Groups, luggage, early flights, executives |
Gala nights and the Metropolitan Ballroom
The hotel runs a self-contained convention centre linked by a glass walkway across Queens Quay. Destination Toronto lists about 70,000 square feet of flexible space, including the Metropolitan Ballroom at about 24,990 square feet, and an overview that mentions galas for up to 3,000 guests. Those are hotel and tourism-board figures, so confirm capacity with the hotel.
A large evening produces its own transport pattern, and a chauffeur company can help in four ways:
- Staggered arrivals. A sedan, three SUVs and a Sprinter can arrive across a 30-minute window instead of one crush.
- Principals and speakers. A named driver collects the keynote guest at Pearson or Billy Bishop, with a name-board meet-and-greet at arrivals as an add-on.
- Late departures. Dispatch schedules cars for the end of the evening so guests are not left on the curb.
- Group staging. A mini-coach or party bus holds 20 to 30 passengers on an hourly basis, with availability and the exact vehicle confirmed at booking.
For multi-day schedules, see event transportation. Black-tie weddings use the same logic; the wedding limo page covers photo stops and timelines.
Hourly corporate days from the waterfront
The Westin works well as a base for a chauffeured business day because the financial district is about 1.5 km away. A sample schedule:

- 08:00 pickup at the hotel for a Bay Street breakfast, about 1.5 km and 6 to 12 minutes.
- 09:30 meeting at a downtown bank or law firm.
- 12:00 lunch at the waterfront, with the car held at a staging spot.
- 14:00 a visit to a head office in the 905, such as Mississauga or Oakville, with a return to downtown before a dinner.
- 20:00 transfer to Billy Bishop for a short late flight.
Hourly bookings are made online, and terms are shown before you confirm. The hourly chauffeur and corporate car service pages explain how a multi-stop day is planned.
Toronto Island day trips and the ferry: when not to use a car
Many guests want to see the islands. The City of Toronto's page lists the busiest periods as 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. heading to the islands and 5 to 9 p.m. coming back, with waits that may exceed 30 to 60 minutes. It also says the terminal has no parking.
Since the terminal is about 100 metres from the hotel, you do not need a car for the ferry. The best use of a chauffeur on an island day is the other end: a pickup when you return, or a ride from Billy Bishop to the hotel before you walk to the docks. Our Toronto Islands ferry day guide explains the plan, and the Harbourfront Centre site lists what is on along Queens Quay West, where the centre's address is 235 Queens Quay West.
Evenings on the harbour: arena, tower, theatre
From Harbour Square, the Scotiabank Arena at 40 Bay Street is about 700 metres away, and the arena's site lists the Maple Leafs and Raptors as its home teams. The CN Tower, on the official tower site, offers a restaurant and observation levels. Dinner and a game or a show are a short walk, but returning to the hotel late is a good use of a car: our Scotiabank Arena pickup guide and the CN Tower and Harbourfront afternoon cover timing.
For an evening out beyond a walk, see the night out limo page.

See the fleet page for each class.
Wine country and Niagara from Harbour Square
A booking from the waterfront can take you out of the city in the morning. From downtown Toronto, Niagara Falls is about 130 km and 80 to 100 minutes; see Toronto to Niagara Falls. The Niagara-on-the-Lake limo and wine tour limo pages cover a winery day. Alcohol rules follow Ontario law and are confirmed at booking; we never promise drinks on board.
Booking terms in plain words
Choose a vehicle, enter the address, and the booker shows one fixed fare for that address before payment. Each airport pickup is flight-tracked. Waiting time is free for 60 minutes after an international landing and 30 minutes after a domestic one. Our vehicles and chauffeurs are licensed and commercially insured, and dispatch is staffed around the clock.
For cancellations, measured from the scheduled pickup time: notice of more than 72 hours is free, 72 hours or less costs 10%, 48 hours or less 50%, and 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100%.

About 3 km, roughly 5 minutes in free flow and 10 to 20 minutes at rush hour. Your chauffeur meets you at the mainland pavilion at the foot of Eireann Quay, where the tunnel and ferry come out.
How long is the drive from Pearson to the Westin Harbour Castle?
About 28 km. It takes around 26 minutes in free flow and usually 40 to 70 minutes in rush hour. The booker shows the exact fare before you confirm, and flight tracking is included.
Is the Westin Harbour Castle next to the Toronto Island ferry?
Yes. The City of Toronto places the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal at 9 Queens Quay West, about 100 metres south of Queens Quay and Bay Street, behind the Westin Harbour Castle. You can walk there.
Can I book a chauffeur by the hour from the Westin?
Yes. Choose the hourly option, list your stops and meeting times, and the same car can follow your day. The booker shows the terms before you pay, and dispatch adjusts if meetings run late.
Should I take the airport shuttle from Union Station instead of a car?
If you have one bag and time, the Billy Bishop shuttle and a short walk can work well. A pre-booked car is better with several people, heavy bags, rain or an early flight.
Can you handle many guests arriving for a gala at the hotel?
Yes. Tell us the number of guests and arrival windows, and we plan sedans, SUVs and Sprinters in sequence. Larger coaches and party buses are confirmed at booking.
What is the rush-hour risk on the way to Pearson?
The route can take 40 to 70 minutes at peak, compared with 26 in free flow. Book a pickup earlier than you think necessary for a morning flight.
Are child seats available?
Yes. Child, toddler and booster seats are provided when you request them at booking. Add the children's ages in the booker.
Is the hotel's name still Westin Harbour Castle?
Yes. It has used the Westin name since 1987, after opening as the Harbour Castle Hotel in 1975. Use 1 Harbour Square when you book.
