A private aviation car service has one job: to make the ground leg disappear. The aircraft took care of the hard part, and the last 30 or 300 kilometres should be as quiet as the flight. TorontoBlackLimousine.net books chauffeured black cars, SUVs and Sprinters for business-aviation arrivals and departures at nine airfields across Ontario and Québec, with the dispatch desk in Toronto and the car following the aircraft, not the timetable.
What is an FBO pickup and how is it different from an airport pickup?
An FBO, or fixed-base operator, is the private terminal that handles business-aviation aircraft and passengers. An FBO limo pickup means the chauffeur waits at that operator's building, landside, instead of at a commercial terminal curb. Flight tracking runs on every airport pickup, so the car follows the real arrival time.
At a commercial terminal, hundreds of people share a few pickup zones. At an FBO, one party at a time walks out of a private lounge, and the hand-over is quiet. The trade-off is that the FBO, the airport authority and the border agency all have a say in how that hand-over works, so the ground plan starts earlier.
How do chauffeur pickups work at a private terminal?
The sequence is the same at every airfield:

- You book with the aircraft registration or flight details, the FBO name, the number of passengers and the bags.
- The desk tracks the arrival and briefs the chauffeur with a meeting plan.
- You clear customs where required, collect your bags with the crew's help, and walk out.
- The chauffeur drives you to the address you gave, at the fare the booker displayed before you confirmed.
Our waiting terms apply to private arrivals as they do to commercial ones: 60 minutes free after landing on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic ones. A name-board meet-and-greet is available as an add-on, which at an FBO normally means a greeting at the building door.
Can the car drive onto the ramp?
Do not assume so. Whether a vehicle may enter the airside area or approach the aircraft is controlled by the airport authority and the FBO, and the rules differ from field to field. Our working assumption is a landside meeting at the operator's building, and where an operator confirms something different, the chauffeur follows it. Billy Bishop publishes a Pass Control Office for airside access on its site, a reminder that access is a managed process, not a favour.
Crew transport is a separate matter between the operator and the FBO. Our bookings are for passengers.
How does customs work at a private terminal?
Customs is the factor that shapes the timing most. International arrivals into Canada report to the Canada Border Services Agency, and the arrangement depends on the airfield and the aircraft. Signature Aviation's Toronto Pearson page, for example, says on-site customs and immigration are available Monday to Friday during limited hours. For aircraft in the CANPASS private and corporate programmes, the CBSA's telephone reporting page says the pilot reports the estimated time of arrival at least two hours, but no more than 48 hours, before flying into Canada.

That reporting is for the pilot and the operator, not the chauffeur, but you should plan the ground leg around it. A clean clearance gets you out in minutes. A longer one holds you in the building, which is why the 60-minute international waiting window exists.
Where do we serve business-aviation arrivals?
Nine airfields have dedicated pages. Each one looks at the real operators, the nearby cities and the routes onward.
| Airfield | Page | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | Pearson FBO car service | Jets into Toronto; Bay Street about 28 km, 26 minutes free-flow |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ) | Billy Bishop FBO car service | Island airfield, jets prohibited; Bay Street about 3 km |
| Hamilton (YHM) | Hamilton FBO car service | West of Toronto: Niagara, Burlington, Oakville |
| Oshawa (YOO) | Oshawa FBO car service | East GTA: Durham, Markham |
| Waterloo (YKF) | Waterloo FBO car service | Tech visitors and university business |
| Ottawa (YOW) | Ottawa FBO car service | Parliament, embassies, Kanata |
| Montréal-Trudeau (YUL) | Montréal FBO car service | Downtown Montréal and the Laurentians |

The cards below list every page in the section.
Which operators can we name?
We name only the operators whose own websites we could read.

- Toronto Pearson: Signature Aviation, listed at 2450 Derry Road E and open 24 hours a day, and Execaire Aviation, listed at 2450 Derry Road East, Hangar #8.
- Billy Bishop: Porter FBO, Hangar #6, open daily from 05:30 to 23:00 on its own listing.
- Montréal and Ottawa: Execaire's locations page lists a full-service FBO at 10175 Ryan Avenue, Dorval, near Montréal-Trudeau, and another at 300 Comet Private in Ottawa.
Other operators work at each of these fields. If yours is not named, tell us at booking and we will plan around the address your handler sent you.
What is different at Billy Bishop?
Billy Bishop is the exception to everything above. The airport's own pages state that all jet aircraft are prohibited except MEDEVAC flights, that certain propeller types are also barred, and that the airport is open 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. Its information for pilots sets out the rules. If your aircraft is a jet, Pearson, Hamilton or Oshawa is your Toronto landing, and a car does the last leg. The Billy Bishop page explains the ferry, the tunnel and the mainland pickup in detail.
Which vehicle suits a private-aviation party?
Business-aviation groups are small and bag-heavy. An Executive Sedan takes up to 3 passengers with 2 large and 2 carry-on bags. A Luxury SUV takes up to 6 passengers with 5 to 6 large bags. The executive Sprinter has 12 to 14 seats and room for a dozen or more cases. Stretch limousines (8 to 10 passengers) and mini-coaches (20 to 30) are hourly, and availability and the exact vehicle are confirmed at booking. See the fleet. Child, toddler and booster seats are supplied when requested at booking.

How far is it from the airfield to where I am going?
Distances give the plan its shape. Pearson to the Fairmont Royal York is about 28 km, usually 26 minutes free-flow; from Billy Bishop the same hotel is about 3 km, 5 minutes. From the Hamilton airport the Royal York is about 84 km and 75 minutes. Pearson to Kitchener-Waterloo is about 95 km, 1 to 1.25 hours. Between cities, Toronto to Ottawa is about 450 km (4.5 to 5 hours), Toronto to Montréal about 541 km (5.5 to 6.5 hours), Ottawa to Montréal about 200 km (2 to 2.5 hours) and Montréal to Québec City about 255 km (2.75 to 3 hours). For those distances, see the routes hub and the Toronto to Montréal page. Peak-hour traffic adds to every figure.
Do you cover cities beyond the airfields?
Yes. A private arrival often ends in a city page we already cover: Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal, Québec City or the GTA. Corporate travellers who repeat the run can look at the corporate car service and hourly chauffeur pages, and cross-border trips are covered by cross-border limo and the USA hub.
Frequently asked questions
Can you meet a private jet at Toronto Pearson?
Yes. Book with the aircraft details and the FBO name, and the chauffeur meets you landside at the operator's building. See the Pearson FBO page.
Can the car come onto the tarmac?
Do not plan on it. Airside access is controlled by the airport authority and the FBO. The default is a landside meeting, and the chauffeur follows any different arrangement the FBO confirms.
Do jets land at Billy Bishop?
No. The airport states that all jet aircraft, except MEDEVAC flights, are prohibited. Jets use Pearson, Hamilton or Oshawa.
How long will the chauffeur wait?
Our terms are 60 minutes free after landing on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic ones, with flight tracking on every airport pickup.
Who handles customs at an FBO?
The pilot, operator and FBO arrange it with the CBSA. The chauffeur does not. Plan the car around the clearance time.
Do you cover Québec as well as Ontario?
Yes, in English and French in Québec, with pages for Montréal-Trudeau, Saint-Hubert and Québec City.
Can I book the car for a full roadshow day?
Yes. Hourly service covers several stops from the FBO. List the stops in the booker or send them with the booking.
How much does an FBO limo cost?
The booker shows the exact all-in fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm.
