Which limo service works best for the Sheraton Gateway at Toronto Pearson?
Book a pre-arranged black car through TorontoBlackLimousine.net. The Sheraton Gateway sits beside Terminal 3 on Silver Dart Drive, so the walkway handles the airport leg and the chauffeur handles everything else: Bay Street, Billy Bishop, Hamilton, Waterloo, Ottawa. The booker shows the exact fare for your address and vehicle first.
One qualification: if your only trip is Terminal 3 to your room, you do not need a car, and we say so plainly further down. A chauffeur earns the booking when the trip continues past the hotel door: a financial-district meeting, a flight from a different airport, a team of eight with cases, or a day of appointments that starts and ends at the lobby.
TorontoBlackLimousine.net is an independent Toronto car service with no partnership with the hotel. What follows comes from the airport authority, the operator's own announcements and our dispatchers' working knowledge of the area.
The Sheraton Gateway at a glance
The hotel's formal name is Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto International Airport. Its street address is 6301 Silver Dart Drive, and although the postal address reads Toronto, the airport grounds themselves sit in Mississauga. The hotel is run under the Sheraton flag within the Marriott Bonvoy family.

A few facts are worth knowing before you plan transport around it:
- Size. A 2022 Marriott announcement describes 484 guest rooms, all remodelled in a nearly two-year programme.
- Connection. The same announcement calls it the only property directly connected to the Toronto airport. Pearson's own pages agree on the mechanics: from Terminal 3 you follow the signs to the Sheraton Gateway pedestrian bridge, and from the hotel lobby you take an escalator or elevator to the Terminal 3 station of the Terminal Link train.
- Lobby and work areas. The renovation introduced a lobby with community tables, small bookable rooms called The Studios, soundproof booths and a Sheraton Club lounge. For short meetings that do not need a full function room, those spaces matter, because they keep a client conversation inside the building.
- Facilities. Pool and whirlpool, a 24-hour fitness room and updated meeting space, according to the same release.
Read the primary sources if you want the detail: the Sheraton renovation announcement and Pearson's Terminal Link train page.
How the walkway changes your airport transfer
At most Toronto hotels the airport run is the trip. At the Sheraton Gateway it is mostly a walk. A guest arriving at Terminal 3 can reach the lobby on foot, without a kerb, a driver or weather.
That has three consequences for how we plan a booking:
- Arrivals at Terminal 3 are the simple case. Unless you are carrying a group's equipment or going straight on to a meeting, walk.
- Arrivals at Terminal 1 are a different problem. The free Terminal Link train connects Terminal 1, Terminal 3 and Viscount station, and Pearson says it runs around the clock with waits of four to eight minutes depending on the hour. That is good enough for a light-travelling guest. It is less good for four large bags and a connecting meeting, which is when a chauffeur at Terminal 1 makes sense.
- The hotel is a starting point, not only a destination. Many corporate bookings from this hotel are not airport transfers at all. They are days that begin in the lobby at 7:30 and fan out across the region.
If you want a full picture of how pickups work across both terminals, read our Pearson airport limo guide and the wider airport limo Toronto comparison.
Arriving at Pearson: from the gate to the Gateway lobby
International arrivals follow the same sequence for everyone: border inspection, baggage, customs, then the arrivals hall. Pearson's own guidance says international arrivals can take one to three hours to clear and collect luggage, so a pickup time set from the scheduled landing alone is a guess.

We track the flight on every airport pickup and adjust to the actual landing. Waiting time after landing is included at no extra charge: 60 minutes on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic ones. A name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on, which suits first-time visitors, families and anyone arriving with a lot of luggage. See meet and greet at Toronto Pearson for how it is set up.
For a guest who is staying at the Sheraton Gateway after an international flight, the usual shape of the arrival is:
- Land at Terminal 3, clear customs, collect bags.
- Follow the pedestrian-bridge signs; the lobby is reached without going outside.
- Check in, or leave bags at the desk if the room is not ready and the afternoon is meetings.
For a guest going onward by car, the meeting door is settled with dispatch on the day, and the chauffeur waits as planned for the flight.
Departing from the hotel: Terminal 3, Terminal 1 or another airport
Most departures from the Sheraton Gateway are the easiest in Toronto: take the elevator to the pedestrian bridge. The exceptions are the interesting ones.
A Terminal 1 departure. Terminal 1 is a train ride away, but the Terminal Link platform at Terminal 1 sits on parking garage level 5, per Pearson, which means a walk with bags at the far end. If an elderly traveller, a stroller or a heavy set of golf clubs is involved, a car to the Terminal 1 departures level removes the transfer.
A Billy Bishop departure. The Island airport is not connected to the Sheraton by anything except road. Our distance table below uses the mainland pickup at Eireann Quay, and the chauffeur meets you there, not at the water.
A Hamilton departure. John C. Munro is an hour and a bit away, so for an early flight add a buffer you are comfortable with to the booker's time estimate.
Our overview of the smaller Toronto-area fields is on the Billy Bishop airport page and the Hamilton airport page.
Distances and drive times from the Sheraton Gateway
Road distance and free-flow drive time from the hotel to the places guests ask about most. The hotel sits inside the airport grounds, so the Pearson figure is the road trip between the hotel and the terminal area; if you walk the bridge, it does not apply. Rush-hour ranges are typical figures, not promises.

| From the Sheraton Gateway to | Distance (about) | Free-flow | Rush-hour range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toronto Pearson terminal area (by road) | 3 km | 6 min | 10 to 20 min |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ), mainland pickup at Eireann Quay | 25 km | 25 min | 40 to 65 min |
| Hamilton (YHM) | 80 km | 73 min | 95 to 130 min |
| Union Station and Bay Street | 27 km | 30 min | 40 to 60 min |
The Union Station figure follows the reference route we use for Pearson to the financial district: about 27 km, usually 30 to 50 minutes. The booker shows the exact fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm; no price appears on this page.
The honest comparison: which option fits which traveller
The right answer for a guest at this hotel is often not a limousine. This table sets out the real alternatives from the Sheraton Gateway to downtown Toronto, with the cost and the type of traveller each one suits.
| Option | Typical time | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Walk the bridge (Terminal 3) | A few minutes | Lowest, nothing to pay | Any airport arrival or departure at Terminal 3 |
| Terminal Link train to Terminal 1 | Two to eight minutes between stations | Lowest, free | Light luggage, connecting to UP Express |
| UP Express to Union Station | About 28 minutes | Low, fare set by Metrolinx | One traveller, one bag, central destination |
| TTC 900 Airport Express to Kipling Station, then subway | Longer than rail | Low, transit fare | Staff with time to spare |
| Taxi from the airport stand | 30 to 50 minutes | Airport rules apply, metered or flat zone | No booking, no plan |
| Rideshare | 30 to 50 minutes | App price that can surge | Casual trips with a single rider |
| Pre-booked black car | 30 to 50 minutes | Fixed fare via booker | Meetings, groups, luggage, schedules that cannot slip |
The UP Express fares page listed a standard adult single of $12.35 as of October 2026, with children aged 12 and under free; check the UP Express site for current fares and departures.
When you should not book a car
There are four situations where we would rather you did not book us.

- You arrive at Terminal 3 and sleep at the Gateway. Walk.
- You travel alone, light, and your meeting is a few minutes from Union Station. UP Express is quick and predictable.
- You have all day and no luggage. TTC Route 900 Airport Express runs between Kipling Station on Line 2 and both terminals, about 20 to 25 minutes each way, per the TTC airport page.
- You are crossing the terminals at 3 a.m. with two bags. The Terminal Link train is free and, according to Pearson, runs 24 hours a day.
When luggage, other people, a fixed meeting time or a long day come in, the maths changes.
Hourly corporate days that start in the Gateway lobby
The strongest business use of this hotel is the roadshow that starts at the airport. A visiting team lands, checks in, meets in the lobby and heads out, with the same chauffeur and vehicle for the entire schedule.
A realistic day looks like this:
- 07:30 pickup at the lobby, drive downtown for a 09:00 meeting on Bay Street.
- Midday transfer across the city for a client lunch.
- Afternoon site visit in the 905, say Markham or Vaughan, with the car waiting.
- Late afternoon return to the hotel or straight to a departure at another airport.
The driver handles parking, traffic and door timing, and your assistant sees the whole day in one booking. For hourly mechanics, read the guides to hourly chauffeur service and corporate car service. Visiting executives often combine this with a day at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, where the arrival plan matters more than the length of the drive.
Meetings inside the hotel, car on standby
Not every hosted meeting leaves the building. Teams use the hotel's meeting rooms and the lobby Studios for a morning session before the road portion of the day. The car can then be booked for the end of the session rather than the start, so no one waits in a driveway. Tell the booker the scheduled finish and the first address after it; if the session runs over, the chauffeur adjusts.
Groups, crews and delegations
A sales team or a delegation does not fit in a sedan. The classes we run for groups are:
- Executive Sedan: up to 3 passengers, with 2 large and 2 carry-on bags.
- Luxury SUV: seats up to 6, with room for 5 to 6 large bags.
- Executive Sprinter: 12 to 14 passengers and more than 12 bags.
- Mini-coach: 20 to 30 passengers, booked by the hour, with availability and the exact vehicle confirmed at booking.
For an incoming group, give the booker the flight numbers and the number of bags and large cases. Equipment cases and golf bags are the usual surprise; a Sprinter or a second SUV is far less effort than a sedan with a pile of luggage on the kerb. See the fleet page for the classes in detail, and event transportation if the team is travelling to a conference or show.
Early flights and long layovers
Because the hotel is connected to the terminal, guests often treat it as a place to sleep between connections. It works well for that, and a few rules of thumb help:
- Set the departure time from the flight, not the hotel. Work backwards from the check-in deadline of the airline, then allow for the Terminal Link journey if you leave from Terminal 1.
- If you leave Pearson for another airport, treat it as a road trip. Add the rush-hour range from the table above.
- Ask for child, toddler and booster seats when you book. They are provided on request.
For family travel at peak seasons, our March Break departures guide and the Christmas airport runs notes cover what changes in those weeks.
Day trips and intercity runs from the airport
The hotel sits near the 409, 427 and 401, so intercity trips leave quickly. A few reference distances from our route pages:
- Pearson to Kitchener-Waterloo: about 95 km by the 401, one hour to an hour and a quarter. The Pearson to Waterloo route covers tech campuses and university visits.
- Toronto to Ottawa: about 450 km, 4.5 to 5 hours. See Toronto to Ottawa by car service.
- Toronto to Niagara Falls: about 130 km by the QEW, 80 to 100 minutes. See Toronto to Niagara Falls by limo.
A Sprinter or an SUV can take any of these on the same booking, and the booker quotes intercity trips like any other.
Other airport hotels we cover
The airport area has several large hotels, each with its own pickup pattern. If your plans are not fixed on the Sheraton Gateway, compare the nearby hotel pages: the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel and Suites on Airport Road, the Toronto Airport Marriott and The Westin Toronto Airport on Dixon Road, the Delta Hotels Toronto Airport and Conference Centre, the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport and the Alt Hotel at Pearson, which is served by the Viscount station of the Terminal Link train. Our hotels directory lists the rest, and the Mississauga limo page covers the surrounding city.
What the booker asks and what it shows
You enter the pickup address, the destination or hourly window, the date and time, passengers, bags and any seat needs. For an airport pickup you add the flight number so we can track it. The booker then shows the fixed fare for that exact trip before you pay. Service is licensed, commercially insured and dispatched around the clock from our Toronto dispatch.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a limo service that picks up directly at the Sheraton Gateway at Toronto Pearson?
Yes. TorontoBlackLimousine.net dispatches from Toronto and can collect you at the hotel for an airport run, a downtown meeting or a longer day. The chauffeur confirms the exact door on the day. Add the flight number if you are arriving, and the booker shows the exact fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm.
Do I need a car from Terminal 3 to the Sheraton Gateway?
Usually not. Pearson describes a pedestrian bridge from Terminal 3 to the hotel, and the hotel lobby links to the Terminal 3 station of the Terminal Link train. A car makes sense only if you are continuing to another address, travelling with a group or arriving at Terminal 1 with heavy luggage.
How far is the Sheraton Gateway from downtown Toronto and how long does the drive take?
Plan on about 27 km to Union Station and Bay Street, usually 30 to 50 minutes. Free-flow is nearer 30 minutes. At the morning and evening peaks, allow 40 to 60 minutes. The booker shows the exact fare for your address, with no meter and no surge.
How long will the chauffeur wait after my flight lands?
Waiting after landing is included: 60 minutes on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic arrivals. We track the flight, so a delayed landing moves the pickup with it. A name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on when you book.
Can I get from the Sheraton Gateway to Billy Bishop airport by car?
Yes. The mainland pickup at Eireann Quay is about 25 km away, roughly 25 minutes in free-flow traffic and 40 to 65 minutes at rush hour. The chauffeur meets you at the mainland side, not on the island. The Billy Bishop page explains the tunnel and ferry options.
What is the best way to get from Pearson to Union Station without a car?
The UP Express takes about 28 minutes to Union Station. Its fares page listed a standard adult single of $12.35 as of October 2026, and children aged 12 and under ride free. It suits one traveller with light luggage. For groups, luggage or fixed meeting times, a fixed-fare black car is easier.
Can a Sprinter or SUV collect a group at the Sheraton Gateway?
Yes. An Executive Sprinter carries 12 to 14 passengers with more than 12 bags, and A luxury SUV seats six and holds five or six full-size cases. Stretch limousines and mini-coaches are booked by the hour, with availability and the exact vehicle confirmed at booking.
Can I book a chauffeur by the hour for a meeting day from the hotel?
Yes. Hourly chauffeur days are common for visiting teams: a morning on Bay Street, lunch across town, an afternoon site visit in the 905 and a return to the hotel. Tell the booker the stops and the finish time, and it shows a fixed fare before you pay.
