What does a limousine from Longueuil or Brossard to Montréal actually involve?

A South Shore limousine transfer crosses water: the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge or the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel stand between you and Montréal. The chauffeur chooses the crossing in real time, tracks your flight if it is an airport run, and the booker shows the fixed fare before you pay.

Montréal is an island, and the South Shore is everything on the other side of the Saint Lawrence: Longueuil, Brossard, Saint-Hubert, Greenfield Park, and the Montérégie towns that run south and east from them. For anyone booking a limousine here, the central fact is the crossing. The trip is only partly about distance; mostly it is about which bridge or tunnel, at what time.

TorontoBlackLimousine.net takes South Shore bookings through its Toronto dispatch, which also handles the rest of the Windsor–Québec corridor. If you are a Toronto traveller with a Brossard meeting, a Brossard family flying out of Toronto, or a Longueuil company with executives who move between both cities, the same booking history follows you across the corridor.

Longueuil, Brossard and Saint-Hubert: the shape of the South Shore

Longueuil is the largest city on this shore, with 254,483 residents in the 2021 census, which makes it the fifth most populous city in Québec. It has three boroughs: Le Vieux-Longueuil, Saint-Hubert and Greenfield Park. French is the mother tongue of roughly 72 per cent of residents, and a lot of its working population commutes across the river to Montréal. Aerospace is a major local industry; Pratt & Whitney Canada is the city's largest employer.

Brossard sits to the south-west of Longueuil, on the bridge approaches, and is the home of Quartier DIX30, an open-air shopping and dining district. Saint-Hubert, the eastern borough of Longueuil, is where the area's airport is.

The crossings that matter are the Jacques-Cartier Bridge and the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel on the Longueuil side, and the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge on the Brossard side. The Longueuil–Université-de-Sherbrooke métro station on the Yellow Line connects the city to Montréal's métro, and the REM light-rail line has run from Brossard to Gare Centrale since 31 July 2023, with Brossard, Du Quartier and Panama as South Shore stations.

MET airport (YHU) in Saint-Hubert: a new terminal on the South Shore

The airport formerly known as Montréal Saint-Hubert is now MET – Montréal Metropolitan Airport, with a new passenger terminal that opened on 15 June 2026. The airport's own site gives its address as 6400 Airport Road, Longueuil, says it is about 15 km from downtown Montréal, and lists Porter Airlines and Pascan Aviation as its carriers, with more expected. You can read the details on the airport's site.

For the transfer itself, MET is roughly 5.6 km east of downtown Longueuil and about 16 km from downtown Montréal. From Brossard it is roughly 15 km. A car from central Longueuil to the terminal usually takes 10 to 15 minutes.

The airport describes a METbus shuttle run in partnership with RTL that links the terminal to the Longueuil métro station every 35 minutes. That is an economical connection to the métro if you are travelling light. If you have a flight at 6 a.m., a family, or a business meeting at the other end, a pre-booked car is the dependable choice.

How can you get between the South Shore and an airport?

For MET, the airport's METbus to Longueuil métro is the low-cost option and a chauffeured car is the door-to-door one. For Trudeau, the REM does not yet reach the terminal, so the choice is a taxi, rideshare, a transit chain through downtown, or a pre-booked black car with a fare quoted in advance.

The REM's airport branch is described by the network as scheduled for 2027, so the airport link is a future convenience and not a present one. When it opens, it will help travellers who fit the rail model: one bag, a nearby station, no children. It will not replace a car for a family with a stroller, golf clubs and a car seat.

South Shore to Trudeau (YUL): crossing the river to the airport

Trudeau Airport is on the west side of Montréal island. From central Longueuil it is roughly 35 km; from Brossard and Quartier DIX30, about 30 km. Off-peak, that is 30 to 45 minutes. The usual route runs through the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge and the Autoroute 20 corridor, though a chauffeur may choose the Jacques-Cartier or tunnel corridor if one is clearer.

Rush hour changes this picture. Morning traffic heading into Montréal and afternoon traffic heading back to the South Shore can easily double the time, and the bridge approaches on both sides are the usual bottleneck. For a 7 a.m. international departure, request a pickup at least 3 hours before takeoff.

The airport page Montréal-Trudeau (YUL) airport limo explains the arrivals process. In short: flight tracking is included, arrivals waiting is 60 minutes free after international landings and 30 minutes after domestic, and a name-board meet-and-greet is an add-on.

Quartier DIX30 and Brossard shopping evenings

Quartier DIX30, at 1100 rue du Lux in Brossard, describes itself as a place to live, work and play, with shops, dining, entertainment, accommodation and offices. Its published hours, as of 8 October 2026, are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday to Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday, though individual stores vary. The Quartier DIX30 site has the current list.

A shopping day does not always need a chauffeur, but there are three common situations where it does. The first is the visitor staying at a Brossard or Longueuil hotel who wants a safe return after dinner. The second is a group of eight or ten celebrating a birthday and moving between venues. The third is a corporate team on a day trip, where everyone should arrive together.

Parking at the quartier is underground, and the site notes security on duty 24 hours. That is helpful to know if you are coordinating a pickup at night: tell the chauffeur which door or level you will use.

Corporate and aerospace days on the South Shore

Longueuil is known for aerospace, and the Canadian Space Agency's headquarters is nearby. Business traffic from Toronto, Ottawa and Québec City arrives at both Trudeau and, now, MET, and the final leg to a Longueuil or Saint-Hubert office is often a short hop that is difficult to manage on public transit.

For a regular visitor, an account arrangement is better than ad hoc booking. Corporate car service explains how our team handles recurring travellers, and hourly chauffeur service is the answer if your day includes several appointments on both sides of the river.

Useful details for the booking team: the building's name and visitor entrance, the passenger's mobile number, and a contact at reception who can confirm a late arrival.

South Shore to the Eastern Townships

The Montérégie is the gateway to the Eastern Townships, and the Longueuil and Brossard approach is the fastest way to reach them. Bromont is roughly 70 km from central Longueuil, 55 to 70 minutes in normal traffic, along Autoroute 10. Further on are Magog, Orford and Sherbrooke.

Our Townships guides are Eastern Townships limo service and Montréal to the Eastern Townships. The Townships are a popular option for spa days and winery tours, and for those trips a rear-seat passenger can relax without watching the road. What may be consumed in the vehicle follows Québec law and is confirmed when you book; we never promise drinks on board.

South Shore to Plattsburgh airport and the U.S. border

Plattsburgh International Airport is about 105 km south of Brossard, including the Highway 15 border crossing at Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle. The border is roughly 45 km from Brossard, 35 to 45 minutes before any queue, and the airport is on the New York side, roughly 40 minutes beyond the crossing. Our dedicated page is Plattsburgh airport transfers.

Border wait is part of the trip. The CBSA publishes border wait times for the Lacolle crossings, with separate estimates for commercial and traveller traffic. The page carried a notice, on 8 October 2026, that work to redevelop the primary inspection line at Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle is underway and is expected to finish in winter 2027, so delays may be higher than normal.

Every passenger needs valid travel documents, and a passport is the safest choice. For more on cross-border planning, see cross-border limo service.

Longueuil to Québec City, Ottawa and Mont-Tremblant

The South Shore also launches long runs, with the Autoroute 20 corridor running east to Québec City. Rounded planning figures:

These figures are for planning only. The booker produces the exact distance and fare for the exact address.

Weddings, anniversaries and group evenings

South Shore wedding days are best treated as a timetable, with each vehicle assigned a purpose: a car for the wedding party, an Executive Sprinter for the family, a late-evening transfer for the couple. Our wedding limo service page gives a template.

For birthdays and nights out, night-out limo service describes stretch limousines for eight to ten passengers and mini-coaches or party buses for twenty to thirty, both hourly. Availability for those two is settled when you book, along with the exact vehicle; alcohol rules follow the Québec rules.

Prom and graduation trips are strictly alcohol-free.

Choosing a vehicle for a South Shore trip

  • Executive Sedan: seats three, with room for two large bags and two carry-ons. A comfortable pick for a single traveller between Longueuil and the airport.
  • Luxury SUV: up to 6 passengers, with 5 to 6 large bags. The best fit for a family flight or ski gear.
  • Executive Sprinter: 12 to 14 passengers with 12 or more bags. For delegations, wedding parties and teams.
  • Stretch Limousine: 8 to 10 passengers, booked hourly. For events and celebrations.
  • Mini-coach or party bus: 20 to 30 passengers, booked hourly. For larger groups.

The fleet page has the details. Ask for a child, toddler or booster seat in the booker and it is fitted for the trip.

Winter on the South Shore

South Shore winters are long. Quebec's winter-tire requirement runs from 1 December to 15 March for vehicles registered in Québec, including rental vehicles, though vehicles registered outside the province are exempt, according to Quebec.ca. Slush on the bridge approaches and sudden lake-effect squalls can affect timing even without a heavy snowfall.

Practical advice for winter bookings: book earlier, allow extra time for airport runs, and tell the booker if your group is carrying skis or oversized luggage. A Luxury SUV or Sprinter is the better class for gear.

English and French service

The South Shore operates mostly in French, and TorontoBlackLimousine.net provides service in English and French in Québec. Tell the booker which language you prefer.
