How do I book a limo to the Omni King Edward Hotel?
Use the TorontoBlackLimousine.net booker: enter 37 King Street East, the date and time or your flight, and your passenger count. Pearson is about 29 km and 27 minutes in free flow, Billy Bishop about 4 km. The booker shows the exact all-in fare for that address before you confirm.
Some hotels are simply a place to sleep. The Omni King Edward is a place people choose for an occasion: a wedding, an anniversary, afternoon tea, a signing, a dinner in a room that has hosted Toronto's gatherings for more than a century. That affects what a limo service to the Omni King Edward Hotel needs to do. The airport run matters, of course, but so do the bridal party that must leave on time, the guest list that arrives in waves, and the businessperson who needs a calm car to the financial district, which starts about a block west.
This page explains the airport figures, the wedding and event logistics, the hourly corporate routine and the honest alternatives. Every booking is handled by our Toronto dispatch through the online booker, which shows a fixed fare before you pay.
A 1903 hotel, in the facts that matter
The Omni King Edward Hotel is at 37 King Street East, Toronto, Ontario M5C 1E9. It was designed by the Toronto architect E.J. Lennox for the Toronto Hotel Company and opened on 10 May 1903. A tower designed by Henry Ives Cobb was added in 1921. The building fills the whole block between King Street to the north, Victoria Street to the east, Colborne Street to the south and Leader Lane to the west, which is useful to know when you choose a pickup point.

Over the decades the name changed more than once: King Edward Hotel, King Edward Sheraton, Le Royal Méridien King Edward, and since August 2013 The Omni King Edward Hotel, when Omni took over management; Omni later bought the property. If a guest's itinerary says "King Eddy" or "King Edward Hotel", it is the same address. The hotel is a member of Historic Hotels Worldwide, and the Historic Hotels listing gives 301 accommodations, 12 meeting rooms and more than 26,000 square feet of function space.
TorontoBlackLimousine.net has no partnership with the hotel, and we do not suggest that it recommends us.
Where the car stops
Because the hotel occupies a full city block, there are four sides to choose from. King Street is a streetcar street with heavy pedestrian traffic, so chauffeurs often find the quieter approach from a side street. The hotel does not publish a pickup map on the pages we reviewed, so we do not name a door. Instead, the chauffeur messages you on the morning of travel with the exact meeting point and confirms it with the front desk.
Three tips make the pickup smoother:
- For a wedding party, tell us whether the bride and groom leave from a suite entrance or the lobby, and who needs to be at the car first.
- For luggage, mention the number of large bags so the chauffeur can plan the loading space.
- For a surprise, let dispatch know what should stay quiet; discretion is part of the job.
Airports: Pearson, Billy Bishop and Hamilton

| Airport | Distance | Free-flow time | Rush-hour plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ), Terminals 1 and 3 | about 29 km | about 27 min | 40–70 min |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ), mainland pickup at Eireann Quay | about 4 km | about 7 min | 15–25 min |
| Hamilton (YHM) | about 85 km | about 77 min | 100–140 min |
Most visitors fly into Pearson, and our Pearson airport limo page explains the terminal routine. Every flight is tracked, and the chauffeur waits at no charge for an hour after an international landing or half an hour after a domestic one. A name-board meet-and-greet in arrivals is available as an add-on, which many wedding guests and first-time visitors appreciate. For comparisons among the airports, read airport limo Toronto.
Billy Bishop is closer, but it needs an extra step. The airport's own to and from page describes a pedestrian tunnel taking under six minutes, an electric ferry of about 90 seconds, and a curbside zone for drop-offs outside the mainland pavilion. Your chauffeur meets you at the pavilion. See Billy Bishop airport for details.
Union Station, UP Express and the King subway stop
The hotel is about 1.2 km from Union Station, 5 to 10 minutes by car. The UP Express connects Pearson to Union in 28 minutes, according to its own site, and the fares page showed an adult one-way fare of $12.35 as of 2026. That makes the train the clear winner for a single traveller with a bag and no schedule pressure. The Yonge subway line also has a King stop a short walk west, so staff who already know Toronto often choose transit for the final leg.
| Option | Time to King and Victoria | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| UP Express plus a short walk or ride | about 45–60 min from Pearson | lowest | One traveller, light luggage |
| TTC subway to King, then a walk | varies by origin | lowest | Local staff and visitors travelling light |
| Taxi from the airport | about 30–60 min | meter | An unplanned single arrival |
| Rideshare | about 30–60 min | meter plus surge | Short-notice trips |
| TorontoBlackLimousine.net car | about 27–60 min from Pearson | fixed fare via booker | Wedding guests, groups, luggage, executives |
If you arrive by VIA Rail or GO instead, see Toronto Union Station for pickups.
Weddings and receptions at a heritage hotel
The hotel's ballrooms are the draw. The Historic Hotels page names the Sovereign Ballroom, with its Edwardian Baroque architecture, the Vanity Fair Ballroom and the Crystal Ballroom, which has its own bar. The Crystal Ballroom occupies the top floors of the 1921 tower; it was closed in the late 1950s and reopened in April 2017. Capacities differ between event listings, so ask the hotel's events team for current layouts.

For wedding transport, the questions are the same each time:
- Who goes first? The couple's car, with the wedding party in an SUV or stretch limousine behind it.
- Where are the photos? Many couples drive to the Distillery District, about 1.8 km east; our Distillery District wedding-photo guide explains where the car waits while you walk the cobblestones. Others prefer Casa Loma for a grander backdrop.
- How do guests arrive? An Executive Sprinter carries 12 to 14 guests; mini-coaches and party buses hold 20 to 30, with availability and the exact vehicle confirmed at booking.
- How does the night end? Fix a departure time with dispatch so the couple leaves without waiting.
The wedding limo page explains timelines and booking lead times, and the stretch limousine page describes the 8 to 10 passenger option. Alcohol rules follow Ontario law and are confirmed at booking; we do not promise drinks on board.
Afternoon tea, dinners and small occasions
Not every booking is a wedding. The Historic Hotels page lists Victoria Café, which serves afternoon tea, and many guests book a car to arrive for tea or a private dinner in the hotel. A car for an anniversary night can take a couple from the hotel to a show, then wait through dinner. Our night out limo page covers evenings built around King West restaurants, and the Roy Thomson Hall and theatre district guide covers show-night timing.
Hourly corporate use from King and Victoria
For business travellers, the hotel's location is its strongest argument. The financial core, around King and Bay, is about 0.7 km west, and Bay Street offices are within a walk. An hourly chauffeur earns its place when the day involves more than a walk:

- 08:00 pickup at the hotel for a breakfast on Bay Street.
- 09:30 to 12:00 meetings, with the car staged nearby or released and recalled.
- 13:00 a drive to the 905: Markham and Mississauga head offices are each 30 to 45 minutes away in free flow.
- 16:30 a return to the hotel for a private dinner.
- 20:30 an airport run for a late flight.
Hourly bookings are made in the booker, and terms are shown before you pay. The hourly chauffeur and corporate car service pages explain multi-stop days. The hotel itself offers 12 meeting rooms for those who prefer to hold a session in a historic setting.
St. Lawrence Market, Distillery and the east side
The hotel is within walking distance of the St. Lawrence Market, which the market's own site places at 92 to 95 Front Street East. The South Market was open Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 7 pm, Saturday from 7 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm when we checked, and closed on Mondays. Our St. Lawrence Market Saturday guide explains the early-arrival plan.
The Distillery District, at 55 Mill Street on the district's site, is open 364 days a year with hours that vary by day. In late autumn and winter its seasonal market draws large crowds; see our Distillery Winter Village guide for drop-off and timing. The hotel's Historic Hotels listing also names the Royal Ontario Museum, Ripley's Aquarium, the CN Tower, Casa Loma and the Eaton Centre among nearby attractions, and our limo service Toronto page helps you plan a day around them.

Day trips and weekends away
The east-downtown location is convenient for longer drives. Niagara Falls is about 130 km and 80 to 100 minutes (route guide); a Niagara-on-the-Lake winery day starts from the same highway, as described on our Niagara-on-the-Lake limo page. Kingston is about 260 km and 2.75 to 3 hours (route guide), and the Prince Edward County wine weekend guide explains a two-day trip. For a delegation attending several events, the travel desk plans the sequence.
