How do I book a limo to the InterContinental Toronto Centre?
Use the TorontoBlackLimousine.net booker: enter 225 Front Street West as the pickup or drop-off, add your flight or time and passenger count, and confirm. Pearson is about 28 km and 26 minutes away in free flow, Billy Bishop about 2 km. The booker shows the exact fare for that address before payment.
A limo service to the InterContinental Toronto Centre has a different rhythm from one serving a hotel on a quiet side street. This building sits on Front Street West in the railway lands, beside the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, a few minutes' walk from the CN Tower and Scotiabank Arena, and next to the tracks that feed Union Station. Convention weeks, hockey nights and rush hour all push traffic through the same few blocks, so the useful questions are practical: where does the car wait, how long does the airport run take, and when is walking faster?
This page answers those questions for guests, meeting planners and executive assistants. Bookings are made through our Toronto dispatch and the online booker, with a fixed fare quoted before you pay.
The hotel in a few lines
The InterContinental Toronto Centre is at 225 Front Street West, Toronto, Ontario M5V 2X3. It opened in 1984 under the name L'Hôtel, became the Crowne Plaza Toronto Centre in 1993, and moved to the InterContinental brand in 2003 after a renovation, which is why older travel documents may show either earlier name. IHG operates it. Published room counts differ between sources, so we leave out a count and suggest you ask the hotel directly for current room and suite numbers.

What every source agrees on is the location. Hotel listings describe it as next to, and connected with, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, with the Entertainment District and the Financial District each a short distance away. We give that connection only as a planning guide: the chauffeur confirms the pickup door on the day, because loading arrangements can change with events.
Understanding the address: Front Street, Simcoe and the convention centre
If you are arriving for an event, the neighbouring addresses matter. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre's Getting Here page lists the North Building at 255 Front Street West and the South Building at 222 Bremner Boulevard. The InterContinental's number, 225 Front Street West, sits on the same Front Street stretch as the North Building, so a driver following "Convention Centre" signs may reach the wrong entrance for a hotel guest.
Practical advice for a meeting organiser:
- Give the chauffeur the hotel address, not just "convention centre", when the guest is staying at the hotel.
- If a delegate is attending a session in the South Building, name that building so the car approaches from the correct side.
- For an exhibitor with cases or a display, say so at booking; a Luxury SUV or an Executive Sprinter carries far more than a sedan.
The convention centre's website also lists the events calendar, which is worth checking before you book a Thursday or Friday, because show days can double the number of cars on Front Street.
Where the car waits and how pickups run
The hotel does not publish a driveway map on the pages we could read, so we do not describe a door. What we do each time is message you on the morning of travel with the exact meeting point, then update it if the hotel moves traffic. If you are leaving the hotel, tell the front desk or concierge your pickup time; if you are meeting a colleague in the lobby, give us their name and mobile number.

For airport arrivals, the chauffeur meets you at the airport, not at the hotel. A name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on. Child, toddler and booster seats are fitted when you ask for them at booking.
Airports compared: Pearson, Billy Bishop and Hamilton
The three airports we serve nearest this hotel give very different journeys. The figures below come from the hotel's position on Front Street West.
| Airport | Distance | Free-flow time | Rush-hour plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | about 28 km | about 26 min | 40–70 min |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ), mainland pickup at Eireann Quay | about 2 km | about 5 min | 10–20 min |
| Hamilton (YHM) | about 84 km | about 75 min | 95–135 min |
Pearson is the main gateway. Read the Pearson airport limo page for terminal procedure; Terminals 1 and 3 each have their own arrival routine. The 26-minute free-flow figure assumes an off-peak Gardiner Expressway; during the morning inbound crush the same trip can take well over an hour. If you are flying out in the morning, aim to leave the hotel earlier than the table suggests.
Billy Bishop: the closest airport in the city
The InterContinental is one of the nearest downtown hotels to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Even so, there is a short detour built into the trip, because the terminal is on an island. The airport's own to and from page explains the options: a pedestrian tunnel that takes you from the mainland in under six minutes, an electric ferry crossing in about 90 seconds, taxis and rideshare using the curb outside the mainland pavilion, and a complimentary shuttle between the airport and Union Station about every 15 minutes.

For a guest with one bag, the Union Station shuttle can be a reasonable choice: it avoids the car entirely, and Union is a few minutes from the hotel by foot or by short car ride. For a guest with a suit bag, a laptop case and a client, a pre-booked car from the hotel to the mainland pavilion is calmer, about 2 km and 5 minutes in light traffic. Our Billy Bishop airport page covers the pavilion pickup, and the Billy Bishop private aviation page covers business-aviation arrivals.
Union Station, UP Express and the SkyWalk
The hotel is about 1 km from Union Station, roughly four to eight minutes by car depending on the queue at Bay and Front. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre's page says an indoor SkyWalk connects Union Station to its North and South buildings, and that arrivals on UP Express from the airport can follow the SkyWalk from the platform toward Lower Simcoe Street, then walk west along Front Street. The UP Express site lists a Pearson to Union Station trip of 28 minutes, with stops at Bloor, Mount Dennis and Weston.
That makes the train a serious competitor for a solo traveller with light luggage, and we say so. See Toronto Union Station for car pickups from VIA Rail and GO arrivals.
| Option | Time to Front Street West | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| UP Express to Union, then a walk | about 40–55 min from Pearson | lowest | One traveller, one bag, no rush |
| TTC subway to Union, then a walk | varies by line | lowest | Staff already in the city |
| Taxi or rideshare | about 25–60 min from Pearson | meter, plus surge on rideshare | Last-minute single trips |
| Billy Bishop airport shuttle to Union | runs about every 15 min, then a walk | free | Light-bag travellers from YTZ |
| TorontoBlackLimousine.net car | about 26–60 min from Pearson | fixed fare via booker | Groups, luggage, early flights, executives |
The TTC subway page lists maps and service updates; check it on days with a closure, because Union is the main connection point for subway, GO and UP Express.
Hourly chauffeurs for roadshows, board days and investor meetings
A hotel at Front and John works well as the start of a chauffeured corporate day because the financial district is close. A sample schedule for an investor roadshow:

- 08:15 pickup at the hotel for a breakfast in the financial district around King and Bay, about 1.1 km and 5 to 10 minutes away.
- 10:00 meeting at an office downtown, with the car staged nearby.
- 12:30 a working lunch near Yorkville or the waterfront.
- 15:00 a drive to a head office in the 905, such as Markham or Mississauga, 30 to 45 minutes each way in free flow.
- 18:30 back to the hotel, or straight to Pearson for a night flight.
A chauffeur who keeps the same car all day can hold luggage and files, and the dispatcher can reschedule if a meeting slides. Our hourly chauffeur and corporate car service pages explain the structure, and the Mississauga and Markham pages have the 905 corporate geography. Hourly bookings are made in the booker; the fare and terms appear there before you confirm.
Convention weeks, trade shows and exhibitor runs
Planners use the hotel because the convention centre is next door. Cars still matter in three situations:
- Airport arrivals for delegates. A set of flights landing across the afternoon can be met by sedans and SUVs in rotation, avoiding a single large shuttle.
- Offsite shows. Exhibition Place and the International Centre in Mississauga sit away from Front Street. Our guides to Enercare Centre and Exhibition Place and the International Centre in Mississauga explain access.
- Executive transfers. A CEO leaving a keynote to reach a meeting across town does not need a bus.
The detailed convention page, Metro Toronto Convention Centre arrivals, shows how drop-offs work on a typical show day. For wider planning, see event transportation.
Game nights, concerts and theatre from Front Street
The hotel's neighbours include some of the city's best-known entertainment addresses. Scotiabank Arena at 40 Bay Street is home to the Maple Leafs and Raptors, according to the arena's website, and it is about 1 km from the hotel. The CN Tower, on the official CN Tower site, describes a main observation level, a lower level and a restaurant. Roy Thomson Hall is a short walk to the north. Rogers Centre, where the Blue Jays play, is beside the tower.
On event nights the most efficient plan is usually to walk to the venue and book the car for afterward, from a quieter street than the arena doors. Our guides explain how:
If a group wants a night out rather than a single transfer, the concert and sports limo page covers hourly bookings.
Vehicles for a convention-district pickup

The fleet page shows each class.
Longer trips from the railway lands
A booking from the InterContinental can extend well beyond the city. Typical corridors:
- Niagara Falls: about 130 km, 80 to 100 minutes (route guide).
- Kingston: about 260 km, 2.75 to 3 hours (route guide).
- Ottawa: about 450 km, 4.5 to 5 hours (route guide).
- Montréal: about 541 km, 5.5 to 6.5 hours (route guide).
For a delegation attending several events in a week, the travel desk can plan the sequence.
How booking works, in plain terms
You choose the vehicle, enter the address and see the all-in fare for that exact address; the amount is fixed once you pay. Airport pickups include flight tracking, 60 minutes of free waiting after an international landing and 30 minutes after a domestic one. Chauffeurs and vehicles are licensed and commercially insured, and dispatch is open around the clock from Toronto. For alcohol, Ontario law applies and the position is confirmed when you book; we never promise drinks on board.
If plans change, notice of more than 72 hours costs nothing. At 72 hours or less the cancellation fee is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100%, always measured from the scheduled pickup time.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to get from Pearson to the InterContinental Toronto Centre by limo?
About 28 km, normally 26 minutes in free flow and 40 to 70 minutes in rush hour. Your chauffeur tracks the flight, meets you at the airport and drives to 225 Front Street West. The booker states the exact fare before you pay.
Is the InterContinental Toronto Centre connected to the convention centre?
Hotel listings describe the hotel as adjacent to and connected with the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. For a pickup we do not rely on the connection: we agree a specific door with you on the morning of travel.
Was the InterContinental Toronto Centre once the Crowne Plaza?
Yes. The building opened in 1984 as L'Hôtel, was the Crowne Plaza Toronto Centre from 1993 and has been an InterContinental since 2003. Use 225 Front Street West when you book.
What is the fastest way from Billy Bishop airport to Front Street West?
The distance is about 2 km. Coming off the pedestrian tunnel or the ferry, a pre-booked car from the mainland pavilion takes about five minutes in light traffic. The airport's free shuttle to Union Station is a lighter-bag alternative.
Can I hire a chauffeur by the hour from the InterContinental Toronto Centre?
Yes. Book the hourly option, add your meeting times and stops, and the booker shows the fixed terms before you confirm. The same chauffeur can follow you through the day, including Bay Street meetings and head-office visits in the 905.
Can you collect groups from a convention at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre?
Yes. Tell us which building, North at 255 Front Street West or South at 222 Bremner Boulevard, and the time the session ends. A Sprinter holds 12 to 14 passengers, and larger coaches are confirmed at booking.
Do you provide child seats for family arrivals at this hotel?
Yes. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request when you book, so add the children's ages in the booker.
Should I take UP Express instead of a car?
For a single traveller with one bag it is often the better choice. UP Express covers Pearson to Union Station in 28 minutes, and the hotel is a short walk or ride from there. A car wins with several passengers, heavy cases or an early flight.
What if my pickup is late or I miss the car?
Your dispatcher watches the flight and the clock. A late landing moves the pickup; a no-show after the free waiting period is charged under the cancellation terms listed above.
