What is the best way to get to the Kingbridge Centre from Pearson?
For most groups, a pre-booked chauffeured car. The Kingbridge Centre at 12750 Jane Street, King City is about 35 km from Pearson, roughly 28 minutes free-flow and 40 to 70 minutes at rush hour. Its own directions rely on trains and local taxis; a booked car goes door to door.
The Kingbridge Centre is not a hotel you pass on the way to somewhere else. It is a residential conference centre on 113 acres north of Vaughan, built so that a team can disappear into a programme for two or three days. That changes the transport job. Instead of constant coming and going, there are two moments that matter: everyone getting in, and everyone getting out. This page explains how we handle both, and what to do with the hours between. We are an independent Toronto car service with no connection to the centre, and the centre has not endorsed us.
What the Kingbridge Centre is, in its own words
The centre's website describes an IACC-certified residential conference destination at 12750 Jane Street, King City, set among rolling hills, ponds and forest. It lists 124 guest rooms, each 357 square feet with a king bed or two doubles and a view of a pond or the woods, and 23,000 square feet of meeting space. The largest rooms are a 310-seat auditorium and a 250-person grand room, and the centre says it has more than 40 meeting rooms in all. You can read the current figures on the Kingbridge Centre conferencing page and the Discover page.

The history is unusual and useful context for anyone who wonders why it feels different from a downtown hotel. According to the centre, Arthur Erickson designed it with Murray Koffler in 1989, originally as a wellness spa called King Ranch. CIBC turned it into a private leadership-training facility in 1992, John Abele bought it in 2001, and in January 2021 ownership passed to the Pathak Family Trust. It operates under the name Kingbridge Centre today.
Pearson to King City: the main transfer
Most delegates arrive at Toronto Pearson. The road distance to the centre is about 35 km, and free-flow driving takes about 28 minutes. The same drive can take 40 to 70 minutes on a weekday afternoon, because the roads north from the airport collect commuters, cottage traffic and trucks. Friday evenings in summer and before long weekends are the slowest.
For a group, the process looks like this:
- You tell us the flights, the number of travellers and their luggage.
- We track each flight and set pickup waves, so nobody waits at arrivals for an hour while a colleague clears customs.
- Chauffeurs wait for 60 free minutes after an international landing and 30 after a domestic one.
- The cars drive to King City together or in sequence, and the chauffeur confirms the door at the centre by message.
Our Pearson airport limo page explains terminals and doors, and the meet-and-greet page covers the name-board option for facilitators and VIP guests. For larger groups, a single chauffeured Sprinter collects twelve to fourteen people from a single arrival and removes the question of who rides with whom.
Billy Bishop and Hamilton to the Kingbridge Centre
Some leadership teams fly into Billy Bishop because it is close to downtown; others come from Hamilton. From the mainland pickup at Eireann Quay, Billy Bishop is about 41 km from the centre, around 42 minutes free-flow and 55 to 90 minutes at peak. Hamilton is about 108 km, around 92 minutes free-flow and 105 to 145 minutes at peak. Our Billy Bishop airport page and Hamilton airport page cover the pickup details.

| From | Distance | Free-flow | Rush-hour allowance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | about 35 km | about 28 min | 40 to 70 min |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ), mainland pickup at Eireann Quay | about 41 km | about 42 min | 55 to 90 min |
| Hamilton (YHM) | about 108 km | about 92 min | 105 to 145 min |
Eireann Quay, at the foot of Bathurst Street, is a fair stand-in for downtown Toronto. If your team starts the day in a Bay Street boardroom and finishes at the centre, plan on that 41 km and an hour in the car in traffic. Our Union Station page covers rail arrivals.
The centre's own directions, and what they mean in practice
The Kingbridge website gives three routes. By transit: take UP Express to Union Station, then the GO train northbound to King City GO Station. By subway: ride the TTC to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station. By air: guests may request a landing at the Kingbridge Heliport, arranged in advance with management approval. For the last leg from either station, the centre recommends a local taxi.
Those are honest options and they work for a single traveller with one bag. For a group of ten who landed at 2:00 pm with checked luggage, they mean two transfers, a platform, and a taxi queue at the far end. That is where a booked car earns its place. Helicopter landings are arranged with the centre, not with us, but if executives fly in that way we can take the ground legs on either side.
Day meetings, residential programmes and what the centre includes
The centre sells two formats. A Day Meeting Package includes a meeting room, audiovisual, wireless internet, breaks, a hot buffet lunch, a planning manager, parking and an on-property shuttle. The Complete Meeting Package adds overnight accommodation, breakfast and property-wide wireless. Both include EV charging and access to recreation, which the centre lists as squash, pickleball and tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, a cold plunge, saunas, steam rooms, a fitness room, an indoor running track and five kilometres of trails.

What this means for transport:
- A day-meeting group can arrive by car in the morning and leave in the evening, with the chauffeur waiting nearby or returning at a set time.
- A residential group needs two cars coordinated, one on arrival day and one on departure day, usually with different departure times as people head for different flights.
- The centre's on-property shuttle moves people around the grounds; it is not described as an airport shuttle, so the airport legs are yours to arrange.
Our corporate car service page explains how we run accounts for planners who handle many programmes a year, and the event transportation page covers multi-vehicle coordination.
Planning departure day, which is where retreats go wrong
On the last afternoon, a group that has spent three days together does not want to queue. The risk is that eight people with eight different flights are trying to leave at once, and a single car cannot serve them all.
How we plan it:
- Planner sends us the departure flights with times, terminals and passenger names.
- We group travellers by terminal and departure window, then allocate cars.
- We set the pickup time from flight time, not from the programme end, and tell travellers which car is theirs.
- Dispatch stays available for changes up to the day.
For an international departure from Pearson, build in the extra time you would normally allow for airline check-in and security; our dispatcher can advise on what is sensible for each terminal. If the centre is hosting a wedding on the Sunday, mention that when you book so we do not stack two groups at the same door.
Weddings and celebrations at the Kingbridge Centre
The centre's wedding page says it hosts weddings of up to 150 guests, with indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception spaces. A wedding at a place like this is a different transport problem from one in a banquet hall. Guests arrive from several directions, many without their own cars, and the venue is far enough from the city that a late departure needs planning.

For couples, the wedding limo service page explains timelines, photo stops and multi-vehicle plans. A stretch limousine is an option for the couple, with availability and the exact vehicle confirmed at booking. For guests, a Sprinter or a mini-coach can run a loop between a hotel and the venue; mini-coaches and party buses carry 20 to 30 on hourly bookings. Alcohol rules follow Ontario law and are confirmed at booking, and prom and graduation trips are strictly alcohol-free. Details of the centre's wedding offering are on the Kingbridge weddings page.
Team-building days and where else to go from King City
The centre promotes team activities including cooking challenges, outdoor time in nature, wellness sessions and what it calls ecology in action; it describes them on its team-building page. Many of these happen on the property. When a group wants to leave it, the neighbours are Vaughan to the south and the wider York Region.
Canada's Wonderland is in Vaughan, and its official page lists Halloween Haunt on select nights from September 25 to November 1 this year. Our Canada's Wonderland family day guide and Halloween Haunt guide cover the practical side, and our Vaughan limo page describes the city. For a quiet afternoon rather than a theme park, the Kleinburg and Vaughan alternatives guide has ideas. We give no distances for these hops because they depend on the route; the booker shows the exact distance and time for your address.
Honest alternatives to a chauffeured car
This is how the options compare for a team arriving from Pearson.
| Option | Time | Cost note | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private chauffeur from TorontoBlackLimousine.net | About 28 min free-flow, 40 to 70 min at rush hour | Fixed fare via booker, quoted before you pay | Groups, executives, anyone with luggage or a tight schedule |
| UP Express, GO train, local taxi | UP Express to Union Station takes about 28 minutes; then a GO train and a taxi | Lowest, UP Express lists a standard adult one-way fare of $12.35 as of 2026 | One traveller with one bag and no deadline |
| TTC subway to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, then taxi | Depends on connections | Low, plus a taxi fare | A solo visitor already downtown |
| Taxi or rideshare from Pearson | Same road time | Meter or variable fare, which can surge | One or two people with light luggage |
| Rental car | Road time plus counter time | Rental, fuel | Self-driving visitors who want to stay flexible |
The official sources are the UP Express fares page and GO Transit's trip planner. If you are one person with a bag and no hurry, transit plus a taxi is the lower-cost route, and we will say so. When you add a group, luggage, a flight to catch or a facilitator who cannot be late, the car becomes the sensible choice. Vehicles, seats and luggage
The Executive Sedan carries up to 3 passengers and 2 large plus 2 carry-on bags, the Luxury SUV up to 6 with 5 to 6 large bags, and the Executive Sprinter 12 to 14 with 12 or more bags, which suits a leadership team plus facilitators and equipment. Mini-coaches and party buses carry 20 to 30 and are booked hourly; availability and the exact vehicle are confirmed at booking. The fleet page shows each class.
Child, toddler and booster seats are provided when requested at booking, a point that matters when a retreat includes a family weekend or a wedding. Chauffeurs and vehicles are licensed and commercially insured.
Booking, waiting and cancellation
The online booker shows the exact fare for the exact address and vehicle before you pay, so there is no meter and no surprise. Our dispatch runs 24/7. Cancellation: more than 72 hours' notice, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. The FAQ page has the full terms, and the travel desk can plan a trip that combines flights, ground legs and a retreat. If you want to see the wider region, the GTA hub is the best starting point.
Other hotel pages in the area
If you are choosing between venues, the Hockley Valley Resort page covers the resort in Mono, the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North page covers the Highway 7 conference hotel, and the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites page covers the Warden Avenue suites. The hotels hub lists the rest.
Frequently asked questions
How far is the Kingbridge Centre from Toronto Pearson?
About 35 km by road, usually about 28 minutes free-flow and 40 to 70 minutes at weekday rush hour. The booker gives the exact fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm anything.
Does the Kingbridge Centre run an airport shuttle?
Its website lists an on-property shuttle in its meeting packages, but it does not describe an airport service. For the airport legs, book a chauffeured car. We confirm the exact door at the centre on the day.
Can you collect a group arriving on different flights?
Yes. Send us the flights and names and we track each one, set pickup waves, and allocate cars or a Sprinter. Free waiting is 60 minutes after an international landing, 30 after a domestic one.
Can I use the GO train instead of a car?
Yes, for a single traveller. The centre's own directions use UP Express to Union Station, then the GO train northbound to King City GO Station, then a local taxi. A car suits groups, luggage and tight timing.
What vehicle suits a team of ten with luggage?
An Executive Sprinter seats 12 to 14 with 12 or more bags, so one vehicle carries a team of ten and their cases. Larger teams use several vehicles or a mini-coach, confirmed at booking.
Can you take a wedding party to the centre?
Yes. The centre lists weddings of up to 150 guests. We can run couple cars and guest loops. Stretch limousines, party buses and coaches are confirmed at booking with the exact vehicle. Alcohol rules follow Ontario law.
Can I arrive by helicopter and still use your cars?
The Kingbridge Centre lists its own heliport, with landings arranged in advance and subject to management approval. Those arrangements are made with the centre. We can drive the ground legs before and after, from airports, hotels or offices.
What is your cancellation policy?
More than 72 hours' notice, no charge. 72 hours or less, 10%. 48 hours or less, 50%. 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, on request at booking we provide child, toddler and booster seats; tell us the ages and weights so the seat matches the child.
