What is the best limo service for W Toronto in Yorkville?
For a W Toronto limo service, TorontoBlackLimousine.net sends a black car from Toronto dispatch: Pearson is about 25 km and 29 minutes away, Billy Bishop about 6 km and 11 minutes. Flight tracking is included, the fare is fixed and quoted before you pay, and hourly chauffeurs cover a full day of meetings.
W Toronto is at 90 Bloor Street East, on the east side of Yonge Street, in the heart of the Bloor-Yorkville district. Its guests tend to be two kinds of people at once. On weekdays they are consultants, bankers, studio executives and visiting speakers who want to be on Bay Street by 8:30 and back for a client dinner. On weekends and festival weeks they are the people who want the building's rooftop and its Yorkville street life, and who will not drive themselves home. A black car serves both.
This page covers the working side first: airport transfers, hourly chauffeurs for corporate days, and event-night shuttles. It then turns to evenings and day trips. Every time and distance below is road distance from the hotel entrance, free-flow unless we say rush hour. The booker shows the exact all-in fare for your pickup address and vehicle before you pay, so none of those figures needs a calculator.
W Toronto at a glance
The hotel opened on July 21, 2022, and replaced the Marriott Toronto Bloor Yorkville at the same address, according to Travelweek's report on the opening. It has 254 rooms, 30 of them suites. Only the address survived from the earlier hotel; the building and the brand are new.

For meetings, the hotel's events page puts the event space on the 11th floor, with 11,538 square feet in total. The largest room, SOUNDSTAGE, is 5,056 square feet and holds 400 at a reception or 220 theatre-style. The Industry ballroom is 1,980 square feet and splits into three rooms, and smaller Strategy and Studio rooms handle workshops. The hotel's event listings name the Living Room, TONO by Akira Back and TOKI Listening Bar among its food and drink venues.
All of that matters for ground transport because the rooms suit a particular kind of event: product launches, press days, creative offsites and cocktail receptions of up to a few hundred people. Those events create two kinds of car work, which we handle every day: bringing speakers and executives in from Pearson and Billy Bishop, and moving guests out at the end of the night.
We are independent. We have no partnership with the hotel and use none of its branding; our job is the car.
Where the car pulls up on Bloor Street East
Bloor Street East in this block is a busy commercial street, a short walk from the Yonge Street subway interchange, with taxis, deliveries and hotel traffic all competing for the kerb. A black car cannot sit and wait here the way it can at a suburban hotel. What works is a coordinated meeting: the chauffeur messages when he is a few minutes away, you come to the front, and you are in the car within the minute.
The exact door, and whether the car waits at the hotel's front or on a nearby street, depends on the time of day and on what the hotel's own team advise. We publish only what the hotel or the city publishes, and otherwise the chauffeur confirms the exact door on the day.
If the plan involves an event at the hotel that ends at the same hour as a big party in Yorkville, tell us. A 1 a.m. pickup on a Saturday needs a different staging plan from a 2 p.m. pickup on a Tuesday.
Airport transfers to and from W Toronto

| Airport | Distance | Free-flow time | In rush hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | about 25 km | about 29 minutes | plan 40–60 minutes |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ), from the Eireann Quay pickup | about 6 km | about 11 minutes | 15–30 minutes |
| Hamilton (YHM) | about 87 km | about 82 minutes | 105–135 minutes |
Pearson to Yorkville is the common run. A flight landing at 6 p.m. on a weekday meets the commuter crush on Highway 401 and the Gardiner Expressway; a flight landing at 10 p.m. does not. The chauffeur plans for the hour, not just the distance.
Arriving at Pearson: flight tracking, waiting time and meet-and-greet
Our Pearson airport limo service tracks every flight, so a late landing moves the pickup with it. On international arrivals you receive 60 minutes of free waiting after the plane lands, and on domestic arrivals 30 minutes. The chauffeur messages you at landing and again when the car is at the pickup point. Guests who want to be met in the arrivals hall can add the name-board meet-and-greet when they book.
On a heavy-bag arrival, such as a film crew or a speaker with display cases, the sedan is the wrong choice and the Luxury SUV or an Executive Sprinter is the right one. Say so at booking and the car will match.
Guests flying private can ask the desk about the Pearson FBO service; the pickup procedure on the business-aviation side differs from the terminals.
Billy Bishop and Hamilton from Yorkville
The island airport is close enough to Yorkville that the question is rarely whether the drive is short, and almost always whether the right car is there when you come off the ferry or out of the pedestrian tunnel. The airport's own site gives its address as 2 Eireann Quay, at the foot of Bathurst Street, and hours of 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Our Billy Bishop airport limo page explains the mainland pickup. From the hotel it is about 6 km and 11 minutes in free flow.

Hamilton is the long run, about 87 km and 82 minutes without traffic, via the QEW and the Gardiner. Guests use Hamilton airport limo when a carrier flies there that does not fly to Pearson, or when they are going on to Niagara or Burlington.
Hourly black car for Bay Street and corporate days
Hourly chauffeurs are what most corporate guests at this hotel actually need. A guest here may have meetings at a bank tower on Bay Street, a law firm on King, a studio in the east end, and dinner back in Yorkville. Between the hotel and King and Bay the drive is about 2.9 km and 6 minutes without traffic, but the time to find a taxi or wait for rideshare at 8:15 a.m. is the part that changes.
An hourly chauffeur in Toronto removes that step. The car stays with you, waits at each stop, and drives to the next without a new booking. For companies that book regularly, corporate car service in Toronto covers accounts and invoicing.
| From W Toronto to | Distance | Free-flow time | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| King and Bay, financial district | about 2.9 km | about 6 minutes | Morning meetings |
| Union Station | about 3.4 km | about 7 minutes | Train, UP Express, GO |
| Metro Toronto Convention Centre | about 4.2 km | about 8 minutes | Exhibitor or delegate runs |
| Scotiabank Arena | about 4.1 km | about 8 minutes | Game or concert nights |
| Royal Ontario Museum | about 1.6 km | about 5 minutes | Museum visits, receptions |
The Metro Toronto Convention Centre lists indoor access to public transit and an air-rail link to Pearson on its own site, and puts the airport at about 25 minutes by rail. If you are speaking or exhibiting there, the car from the hotel makes sense for the early set-up and the late pack-down. Our blog guide to Metro Toronto Convention Centre arrivals goes through the drop-off pattern.
Events on the 11th floor: moving guests in and out
When the SOUNDSTAGE room is full, 400 people arrive and leave within about the same hour, and the ground transport has to be planned in advance. Sedans are the wrong tool. The right ones are:

- Executive Sprinter for 12 to 14 passengers and 12 or more bags, useful for speaker groups and for crews that arrive together.
- Mini-coach or party bus for 20 to 30, booked hourly, for a staff group going on to dinner. The exact vehicle is confirmed at booking.
- Luxury SUV for the senior guests who should not wait.
For an organised shuttle with multiple pickups, event transportation covers staging and dispatch coordination. Large groups on a Sprinter are covered at Sprinter van rental with chauffeur. Alcohol rules follow Ontario law and are confirmed at booking; we never promise drinks on board.
Yorkville evenings: dinner, shows and a ride home
The Bloor-Yorkville BIA describes the district as a 19th-century village with cobblestone streets and more than 700 boutiques, restaurants, hotels and galleries, and its own site shows a steady events calendar. In practice that means two things for a car: the streets around the hotel are thick with pedestrians at night, and the drive out to a show or dinner elsewhere in the city is short. The ROM is about 1.6 km away, Scotiabank Arena about 4.1 km.
For a birthday, an anniversary or a dinner followed by a show, the night-out limo service builds the evening around your reservation times. The blog's Valentine's Day in Toronto guide shows how a dinner-and-a-show plan is timed. For New Year's Eve, book early; our New Year's Eve car plan explains why.
Festival weeks in Yorkville
In September, Toronto's film festival brings road closures and crowds to the Yorkville and King Street areas. The TIFF red carpet week transport guide lays out the street closures and the best pickup timing. For guests at W Toronto during festival week, our advice is the same as for any week with road closures: book the car with the screening or party time in the notes, and let the chauffeur choose the approach.
Closures change from year to year, so we do not publish fixed streets here.
Day trips from Bloor Street East
Hourly bookings are not limited to the city. A client visit in Waterloo Region is about 110 km and 88 minutes from the hotel in free flow, and our Pearson to Kitchener-Waterloo page explains the route. Niagara Falls is about 134 km and 107 minutes, which is why Toronto to Niagara Falls by limo is a favourite client day. Ottawa is about 450 km on the Toronto to Ottawa route. For a Toronto itinerary that is not a meeting, see city tours with a driver.

Honest comparison: car, train, taxi or rideshare
| Option | Pearson to the hotel | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Black car via the booker | about 29 minutes free-flow, 40–60 in rush hour | fixed fare via booker | Groups, luggage, executives, late flights |
| UP Express to Union, then subway to Bloor-Yonge | about 25–30 minutes on the train plus subway | lowest | One traveller, one bag |
| Taxi | about 29 minutes free-flow | meter plus airport charges | Spontaneous arrivals |
| Rideshare | similar | meter-style plus surge | Short notice |
The UP Express is the rail link to Pearson. From Union Station you can take Line 1 north to Bloor-Yonge, which is a short walk from the hotel. The TTC shows live service and elevator status for each station, and it is worth checking before you rely on a specific elevator.
When you travel alone with one bag at a civilised hour, the train is faster than traffic on some days and lowest in cost on every day. Our limo versus rideshare page covers the rest.
