How do I book an Ottawa limo with a fixed fare?

Use the online booker: enter your pickup, destination, date and vehicle class, and it shows the exact all-in fare for those addresses before you pay. Ottawa limo bookings are dispatched through our Toronto desk, and flight tracking is included on every airport pickup.

An Ottawa limo is rarely a single type of trip. Monday mornings are airport runs to the Macdonald-Cartier terminal. Tuesday is a delegation that needs three stops between Sussex Drive and Albert Street. Friday night is a formal dinner in the ByWard Market, and Sunday is a family leaving by train from Tremblay Road. This page explains how each of those works, with the distances and drive times a dispatcher would give you, so you can decide before you open the booker.

We do not print fares on this site. The booker prices the exact address pair and the vehicle you pick, and you see the total before you confirm. If your plans change, the cancellation terms are listed near the end of this page.

Ottawa limo service: which vehicle fits the trip

The capital's travel pattern is small groups moving between a short list of places, so most Ottawa bookings are sedans and SUVs. Here is how our classes map to what people actually do in Ottawa. See the full line-up on the fleet page.

  • Executive Sedan (up to 3 passengers, 2 large and 2 carry-on bags): one or two business travellers, airport transfers, a quiet ride to a ministry meeting.
  • Luxury SUV (up to 6 passengers, 5 to 6 large bags): a family with luggage, ski gear heading out of town, a small delegation that wants to arrive together.
  • Executive Sprinter (12 to 14 passengers, 12+ bags): conference groups, wedding parties, a film or media crew moving gear and people.
  • Stretch Limousine (8 to 10 passengers, hourly) and mini-coach or party bus (20 to 30 passengers, hourly): these suit weddings, anniversaries and larger group events. Availability and the exact vehicle are confirmed at booking.

Child, toddler and booster seats are provided when you ask for them while booking. Licensed, commercially insured vehicles and chauffeurs, 24/7 dispatch and a fixed fare apply on every class.

Ottawa airport limo: YOW arrivals and what to expect

Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport sits south of the centre, and the drive to Parliament Hill is about 11 to 15 km, usually 15 to 25 minutes outside the weekday peaks along the Airport Parkway. Our full procedure is on the Ottawa airport limo page; the short version follows.

The airport authority lists pre-arranged luxury vehicle pick-up at Pillars 12 and 13 along the curb outside Level 1, the arrivals level, and states that passenger loading is not permitted on Level 3, the departures level. Flight tracking is on every airport pickup, so a late arrival does not mean re-booking. Free waiting runs 60 minutes after landing on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic ones. If you would like a name board held inside arrivals, ask for the meet-and-greet add-on at booking.

Rideshare drivers are directed to the same Pillars 12 and 13 stretch, and the taxi queue forms outside the centre door, so Level 1 can be busy at the evening bank of arrivals. A pre-booked driver who already knows your pillar and your phone number saves the usual back-and-forth. Read the airport's own ground transportation page before a first trip, since curb assignments can change.

The O-Train at the airport

Since 6 January 2025 the city's O-Train Line 4 has linked the airport to South Keys, where riders can change to Line 2 (see the airport authority announcement). The station connects to the terminal on Level 3. It is a good option for a light-baggage traveller heading to a station-adjacent address. A trip to downtown with a transfer is commonly quoted at around 40 to 60 minutes, so check the OC Transpo planner for your hour of travel.

Ottawa train station car service on Tremblay Road

Ottawa's VIA Rail station is on Tremblay Road, east of the downtown core, about 6 km from Parliament Hill and normally 10 to 15 minutes by car. Trains from Toronto take roughly 4.5 to 5 hours according to Ottawa Tourism, and VIA is adjusting its corridor timetable this autumn, so confirm your train time on VIA's site before you set the pickup time. Our Ottawa station car service page explains where to meet the chauffeur.

The O-Train's Tremblay station sits a short walk from the VIA building. In winter, when that walk is a slog with a suitcase, a car at the door is the sensible alternative. If your train is late, give us the train number at booking and the pickup follows the actual arrival.

Toronto to Ottawa by chauffeur: 450 km, 4.5 to 5 hours

The drive from Toronto to Ottawa is about 450 km, and Ottawa Tourism puts the time at 4.5 to 5 hours by car, using Highway 401 east and then Highway 416 north. Our Toronto to Ottawa route page covers stops and timing in detail. For this page, the points that matter are practical.

  • Leave outside the Toronto peaks. The weekday 401 is slow from roughly 7 to 9 a.m. and again from about 4 to 7 p.m.
  • Use the back seat as an office. A chauffeur drive lets you take calls, review a deck or sleep, which a train with a shared carriage does not always allow.
  • Door to door. You are collected from the Bay Street office or Pearson and dropped at the hotel, embassy or home address, with no station transfer at either end.
  • Same-day returns are possible for meetings, though 900 km of driving in a day is long; many clients choose to stay a night.

Ottawa limo to Parliament Hill, Centre Block and government visits

Centre Block is closed during Parliament Hill's rehabilitation, so public visits have moved. Ottawa Tourism's notice on the reimagined tours says the House of Commons is meeting in West Block and the Senate sits in the former train station on Wellington Street beside the Rideau Canal. Tours need a reservation and a security check, and they are subject to parliamentary activity.

For a chauffeur, that changes the drop-off. West Block and the Senate building are on different faces of the precinct, so tell us which tour or meeting you have and we will set the curb. Allow extra time: security lines at the House of Commons entrance are the part of the morning most visitors under-estimate. Booking the car by the hour removes the parking hunt between appointments.

Lobbyists, journalists and consultants often book hourly service for a day of meetings around Wellington, Sparks and Albert streets. Short hops cost time in traffic and parking, which is where a single driver on a clock beats three separate rides. See hourly chauffeur service for how that works.

Embassies, diplomatic dinners and hotel arrivals

Many of Ottawa's embassies and high commissions sit in Sandy Hill, a few are downtown, and a number of ambassadorial residences are in Rockcliffe Park. A dinner may begin in Rockcliffe, then move to a hotel near the Château Laurier at 1 Rideau Street. The Westin Ottawa is at 11 Colonel By Drive, joined to the convention centre and Rideau Centre.

For protocol-minded travellers the details matter more than the badge:

  • Timing: plan the arrival from the door of the venue, not from the pin on the map, because embassy gates and hotel porte-cochères add minutes.
  • Sequencing: tell us the order of pickups and drop-offs when you book, so the senior guest is collected or dropped exactly as you direct.
  • Documents: give us the names on the booking as they appear on any guest list or security manifest.
  • Licensed, commercially insured vehicles and chauffeurs, with 24/7 dispatch if a schedule shifts late in the evening.

For a delegation that needs a vehicle at a fixed time across several days, our corporate car service page explains how multi-day programs are planned.

Ottawa conventions: Rogers Centre Ottawa and downtown hotels

The building at 55 Colonel By Drive that many locals still call the Shaw Centre is now Rogers Centre Ottawa, according to the venue's own website, which lists it as connected to the CF Rideau Centre and next to The Westin Ottawa. It overlooks the Rideau Canal, with the National Arts Centre and the ByWard Market close by (see Rogers Centre Ottawa).

For conference travel, the habit that saves most time is a staggered pick-up plan: speakers, then organizers, then late-arriving guests, all on the same dispatch thread. If you manage a program with hundreds of attendees, review event transportation so the airport, hotel and venue runs are planned in one place rather than booked individually by each guest.

Ottawa weddings and formal events

Wedding parties usually split between the hotel, a place of worship, a photo location and the reception. In Ottawa the photo stop is often along the canal or around the Hill grounds, and the weather is the biggest variable. A typical plan is a Luxury SUV or Executive Sprinter for the wedding party and a sedan for the parents, with a stretch limousine or party bus for large groups, subject to availability confirmed at booking.

Ottawa couples often also need a Toronto-origin car for guests flying in. A shared dispatch means the airport pick-ups at YOW and the church-to-hotel runs are handled by the same team. Tell us the ceremony time, the photographs window and the reception address, and we will build the timeline backwards. Read wedding limo service for the planning checklist.

Alcohol rules follow Ontario law and are confirmed at booking; we never promise drinks on board.

Gatineau and the Quebec side of the river

Across the Ottawa River, the Canadian Museum of History is at 100 Laurier Street in Gatineau, directly facing Parliament Hill. The museum's own page lists the address and notes that buses, bikes and a summer water taxi reach it from Ottawa (see the museum's visit page). By car it is about 2 km from the Hill and 5 to 10 minutes, depending on which interprovincial bridge is open that day.

Casino du Lac-Leamy and Gatineau Park are the other common destinations, roughly 8 km and 10 to 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa. We staff our service in English and French for Quebec trips. The Gatineau limo page goes deeper, and the Quebec hub covers the rest of the province.

Ottawa limo through the seasons

  • Spring: The Canadian Tulip Festival fills Commissioners Park each May; admission to the gardens is free, but the surrounding streets are busy and a drop-off beats a parking search.
  • Summer: Hill ceremonies, patios and the museum district; allow extra time near the Hill on event days.
  • Autumn: Gatineau Park colours draw weekend visitors across the river, so allow extra time on the Quebec side.
  • Winter: Winterlude runs on the Rideau Canal Skateway, which is about 7.8 km long and weather-dependent. A booked car at a set time is a better bet than waiting at a curb in cold wind.

Kanata hockey and arena nights

The Ottawa Senators' arena in Kanata is still the Canadian Tire Centre, per the latest naming renewal. It sits west of downtown along the 417 corridor, about 25 km and 25 to 40 minutes from the centre, depending on game traffic. After a game, a pre-booked pick-up with your driver watching the arrival lot is a quicker exit than a surge-priced app queue.

The honest read: if you have one bag and a free afternoon, the O-Train is hard to beat for value. For a tight schedule, formal arrival, group, early flight or a 450 km drive that would otherwise be two trains and a taxi, a fixed-fare car makes sense.

Corporate and embassy travel

The dispatch desk is 24/7, which matters when an early flight changes at 5 a.m. See the Toronto limo service page for how the Toronto end of an Ottawa trip is handled and the Pearson airport limo page for the departing side.

Frequently asked questions

How much is an Ottawa limo from the airport?

The airport is about 11 to 15 km from Parliament Hill, normally 15 to 25 minutes. We do not publish fares here; the online booker shows the exact fixed fare for your address and vehicle class before you confirm.

Where does my chauffeur meet me at Ottawa airport?

Pre-arranged luxury vehicles are listed by the airport authority at Pillars 12 and 13 outside Level 1 arrivals. We track your flight on every airport pickup. A name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on.

How long does it take to drive from Toronto to Ottawa?

It is about 450 km and Ottawa Tourism gives 4.5 to 5 hours by road via Highway 401 and Highway 416. Weekday Toronto traffic adds time, so leaving mid-morning or after the evening peak works better.

Can you take me to Gatineau or Casino du Lac-Leamy?

Yes. Gatineau is a few minutes across the river, about 2 km from Parliament Hill to the Canadian Museum of History. For casino and park trips allow 10 to 20 minutes from downtown, and traffic on the interprovincial bridges can add a few more.

Do you provide child seats in Ottawa?

Yes. Ask for an infant, toddler or booster seat when you book, and it will be installed in the vehicle before pickup.

How long will the driver wait if my flight is late?

Flight tracking is on every airport pickup. Waiting is free for 60 minutes after landing on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic flights.

What is your cancellation policy for Ottawa bookings?

More than 72 hours' notice: no charge. 72 hours or less: 10%. 48 hours or less: 50%. 24 hours or less or a no-show: 100%. The time is measured from the scheduled pickup.

Is the O-Train a better choice than a limo from the airport?

For a single traveller with light luggage and no time pressure, yes: the O-Train connects at South Keys and costs the least. For groups, late arrivals, baggage or a fixed schedule, a chauffeur is more predictable.

Can I book an Ottawa limo for a night out?

Yes. Hourly stretch limousines and party buses are available for weddings and group evenings; the exact vehicle is confirmed at booking. Alcohol rules follow Ontario law and are confirmed at booking.
