How do I book a limo service for The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto?

Open the TorontoBlackLimousine.net booker, enter 181 Wellington Street West as your pickup or drop-off, add your flight number or meeting times and pick a vehicle. The booker shows the exact fare for that address before you pay, and dispatch agrees the door with the hotel on the day.

The Ritz-Carlton sits at 181 Wellington Street West, in the strip of downtown where the financial towers give way to the theatres, stadiums and the lake. The hotel's own page says it overlooks Lake Ontario and the city skyline, lists 263 guest rooms, and places Rogers Centre, Scotiabank Arena, the CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre within walking distance. That is a lot of reasons to walk, and a few reasons not to: heavy luggage, a flight at dawn, a client meeting in Markham, a gala that starts at seven.

Our Ritz-Carlton Toronto limo service is designed for those days. It covers airport transfers, hourly corporate cars, game-night and show-night pickups, and trips beyond the city. If you already know what you need, the booker gives an instant, exact fare for your date, address and vehicle.

Wellington Street pickups: where the car stops

We use the hotel's address, 181 Wellington Street West, to plan the route, and we leave the exact door to the day. A hotel on a block this busy changes its arrival arrangements with deliveries, events and street works, and a pickup instruction that was right last month can be wrong tomorrow. Your chauffeur confirms the position with the hotel and sends you a message with the plate, the vehicle and where to stand.

The hotel's page adds two facts that affect a car. First, it offers no airport shuttle, so a private transfer or a public one are your two options for getting to and from the terminals. Second, valet is limited to vehicles under 2.1 metres (6 feet 10 inches), and anything taller must park off-site. A Sprinter will not fit under that limit, so for group arrivals we agree an alternative staging point with the hotel in advance. Read the current Ritz-Carlton hotel page for the hotel's latest arrival notes.

Ritz-Carlton Toronto to Pearson Airport: kilometres, minutes and timing

Pearson is about 28 km from the hotel. In free-flow conditions it takes about 26 minutes, which happens on a Sunday morning or after 9 p.m. On a weekday the same trip can take 45 to 70 minutes, especially from 7 to 9 a.m. heading out and from 3:30 to 7 p.m. coming back. The Gardiner, the 427 and the 401 each have their own bad hours, and a single collision can add 30 minutes, so we advise adding a margin to any flight where missing the cut-off is expensive.

On arrival, we track the flight and adjust the pickup automatically. Waiting is free for 60 minutes after an international landing and 30 minutes after a domestic one. Guests who have never been through Pearson, or VIPs who should not have to look for a driver in a crowd, can add a name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals. The Pearson Airport limo page describes the terminals and the pre-arranged pickup process in detail.

DestinationDistanceFree-flow driveWeekday peak

Billy Bishop (YTZ), mainland pavilionabout 2 kmabout 5 min8 to 15 min
Hamilton (YHM)about 84 kmabout 76 min95 to 125 min

Billy Bishop is five minutes away

Few hotels in Toronto are as close to an airport as this one. The hotel's own page puts Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport 2.0 km away, and the mainland pavilion at the foot of Eireann Quay is about five minutes by car when the roads are quiet. The ferry or the pedestrian tunnel does the rest, and the airport's pick-up and drop-off page allows chauffeured cars to stop briefly at the curb outside the pavilion or use the complimentary turning-circle spots for up to 5 minutes with a confirmed passenger.

When the airport is that close, the question is whether a car is worth it. For one traveller with a carry-on, a short taxi or a walk to the pavilion may do. For a family with strollers, a client with two cases, or a morning when Lake Shore is jammed, a pre-booked car that is waiting at the door is calmer. Our Billy Bishop airport limo page covers the island routine, including what to do if the ferry is the faster way across.

Hamilton, 84 km west

Hamilton's John C. Munro airport is about 84 km from the hotel, around 76 minutes in free-flow traffic and well beyond that on a summer Friday. It is a sensible option for guests flying to or from Niagara-bound destinations. See Hamilton airport limo service for the terminal and the arrival procedure, and the airport limo comparison for all the airports in the region side by side.

PATH, the subway and when you do not need a car

The Ritz-Carlton is directly connected to the PATH, which the hotel describes as 27 kilometres of underground shopping, services and entertainment, and to St. Andrew subway station. That is useful in January, and it makes a surprising number of downtown errands possible without a car. We would not tell you to book a chauffeur for a lunch in the Financial District in a snowstorm when the PATH leads to the door.

On the UP Express site, the standard one-way adult fare from Pearson to Union was $12.35 in 2026. The TTC fares page listed $3.30 with PRESTO or a contactless card in 2026, with a two-hour transfer. They are the right answer when luggage is light and time is generous. A private car is the better answer when you have bags, a meeting at the other end, or an early flight.

Union Station and VIA Rail

Union Station is about 1 km east of the hotel, a short drive or a PATH walk. We often combine it with a Pearson transfer: UP Express passengers who have a late train, a connecting VIA service or a heavy bag can have a car meet them at Union and drive them to the hotel in minutes. For how pickups work on Front, York and Bay Streets, see our Union Station car service page.

Game night, show night and the stadium blocks

The Ritz-Carlton's neighbours decide how this part of town behaves after 5 p.m. When the Blue Jays are at home, the crowds gather around Rogers Centre long before first pitch. When the Raptors or the Maple Leafs play, Scotiabank Arena sends thousands onto Bay Street and Lake Shore at the same time. Destination Toronto's listing for the hotel places it in the financial and performing arts district, with Roy Thomson Hall and Metro Hall Park as its neighbours.

Toronto skyline and the CN Tower across the harbour
Toronto skyline and the CN Tower across the harbour

What a chauffeur does on those nights is simple. The car is positioned one street away from the busiest exit, so you walk three minutes instead of waiting twenty. We agree a time window rather than a minute, because crowds do not leave on schedule. And the route home is planned around the closed streets. Our guides to Rogers Centre on game day, the Scotiabank Arena pickup plan and the concert and sports limo service set out the plan venue by venue.

For a visitor with a free afternoon, our CN Tower and Harbourfront afternoon guide covers the order of attractions and the pickup points, and our night out limo service handles dinner, a show and a late return.

Hourly black car for corporate guests

The Ritz-Carlton's location suits a business day on foot, but an executive's day rarely stays within a kilometre. A morning in the Financial District, a lunch near Bloor, a site visit in Mississauga and a client dinner back downtown is a perfectly ordinary itinerary. An hourly chauffeur keeps the schedule intact, holds the car while you are in meetings and re-routes when the highway fails. See our hourly chauffeur service and the corporate car service page for account billing and repeat travel.

A roadshow typically needs the vehicle to match the people and the equipment. An Executive Sedan carries up to 3 passengers with 2 large and 2 carry-on bags. A Luxury SUV carries up to 6 passengers with 5 to 6 large bags. Groups of 12 to 14 with a dozen-plus bags fit in one executive Sprinter. For 905 destinations, our pages for Mississauga and Vaughan list the main corporate and event areas.

The Ritz-Carlton ballroom and events

According to the hotel's meetings page, the Ritz-Carlton has seven event rooms and 20,251 square feet of event space. The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom measures 7,400 square feet, 100 by 74 feet, and holds up to 750 theatre-style or 420 banquet-style. The Wellington Room is 3,053 square feet, the Gallery Room 1,666 square feet and the Executive Boardroom 520 square feet. The Ritz-Carlton meetings and events page has the full capacity table.

For an event of that size, guests arrive in waves. We stage Executive Sedans and Luxury SUVs for principal guests, and a Sprinter or mini-coach for delegations, with a coordinator for larger groups. Stretch limousines (8 to 10 passengers) and mini-coaches or party buses (20 to 30 passengers) are hourly, and availability and the exact vehicle are confirmed at booking. Our event transportation page explains the staging, and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre guide covers exhibitor drop-offs for the nearby convention centre.

Dinner, the spa and what is open

The hotel lists TOCA, an Italian restaurant on the mezzanine, EPOCH Bar + Kitchen Terrace in the lobby, and LANO, a café and wine bar. Dinner rarely requires a car, but the evening after it often does. One thing to know before you plan a visit: the hotel says its spa is temporarily closed for renovation, with an enhanced spa expected to reopen in late February 2027, while the pool and fitness centre stay open. If a spa day is part of your trip, check the hotel's page for the current position.

Trips beyond the city

From the hotel to Niagara Falls is about 130 km by the QEW, normally 80 to 100 minutes, and a same-day return is realistic; see Toronto to Niagara Falls. Kingston is about 260 km along the 401 and takes 2.75 to 3 hours; see Toronto to Kingston. For a ski weekend, Blue Mountain is about 160 km via Highway 400 and Highway 26, with a Friday-night crawl that is better avoided by leaving early; see Toronto to Blue Mountain. For the whole region, the Ontario hub lists every city we serve.

Standards and neighbouring hotels

Vehicles and chauffeurs are licensed and commercially insured, and dispatch is staffed 24 hours a day. The fare in the booker is the fare you pay, and a child, toddler or booster seat is fitted when requested at booking. We have no tie to the hotel. If you are comparing downtown stays, see our pages on Shangri-La Toronto, the Fairmont Royal York and The Westin Harbour Castle, or the full hotel list.

Cancellation and changes

If you cancel with more than 72 hours' notice there is no charge. The fee is 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or on a no-show, counted from the scheduled pickup time.

Frequently asked questions

How far is The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto from Billy Bishop Airport?

About 2 km, roughly 5 minutes by car in free-flow conditions and 10 to 20 minutes at peak. We drop and collect at the mainland pavilion at the foot of Eireann Quay, where the tunnel and ferry begin.

How far is the Ritz-Carlton from Pearson?

About 28 km, around 26 minutes without traffic and 45 to 70 minutes at weekday peak. Enter the hotel address in the booker and the exact fare appears before you confirm.

Does the Ritz-Carlton have an airport shuttle?

The hotel's page states that it offers no airport shuttle. Your options are a private transfer, the UP Express via Union Station, a taxi or a rideshare.

Can I walk to Rogers Centre or Scotiabank Arena from the hotel?

The hotel lists both venues within walking distance. We recommend a car for luggage, formal dress, or a late return, when crowds and street closures make a walk less pleasant.

Where will my chauffeur meet me?

Your driver confirms the exact door with the hotel on the day, then messages you the vehicle and plate. Valet at the hotel is limited to vehicles under 2.1 metres, so a larger vehicle stages elsewhere.

Can you book a chauffeur by the hour for meetings?

Yes. List your stops and times in the booker and we confirm the vehicle class, then show the fare before you pay.

Will you know if my Pearson flight is early?

Yes, every airport pickup is tracked live. The free wait after landing is 60 minutes for international arrivals and 30 for domestic.

Can a car seat be fitted?

Yes, request an infant, toddler or booster seat when you reserve the car.

What are the cancellation terms?

Over 72 hours: free. At 72 hours or less: 10%. At 48 hours or less: 50%. At 24 hours or less, or for a no-show: 100%. Time is counted from the scheduled pickup.
