A good Valentine's Day in Toronto is mostly timing. The table is booked for 7:00, the curtain goes up at 8:00, the streets are busy, the temperature is below freezing and everyone else in the Entertainment District has had the same idea. A Valentine's Day limo in Toronto does not make dinner better. It makes the gaps between dinner, the show and the ride home disappear, so the evening stays an evening rather than a series of problems.
This guide is written from the curb: where a car can stop at the places people actually go on February 14, how far apart those places are, what the winter does to the plan, and when you are better off walking or taking the subway. You do not need to book with us to use it.
What is the best way to do dinner and a show in Toronto on Valentine's Day?
Book the dinner and the show first, then work backwards: drop-off at the restaurant, a pickup timed to the curtain, and a car that returns after the final bow. In the Entertainment District, the walk between venues is short, but the cold and the crowds are why a car that waits makes the evening easier.
A downtown evening has a fixed shape. There is a restaurant, a venue and a home. The first two are usually less than a kilometre apart in the Entertainment District, so the car is not about distance. It is about three things: arriving at the door without circling, having somewhere warm to be between events, and leaving without searching for a ride at 11 p.m. in a crowd. Our hourly chauffeur service is built for that pattern, and the night out limo page covers the occasions around it.
The calendar: Sunday the 14th and Family Day
In 2027, Valentine's Day falls on a Sunday. The following day is Family Day, which Ontario observes on the third Monday of February, so Monday, February 15, 2027 is a public holiday. The province lists Family Day among its public holidays (ontario.ca). The calendar has three effects on your plan:

- Saturday the 13th is the other big night. Many couples treat the weekend as the event, so restaurants and theatres are full on both nights.
- Do not assume a quiet Sunday. With a holiday Monday, there is less reason to head home early.
Toronto's Winterlicious, the City's prix-fixe dining event, is scheduled for January 29 to February 11, 2027, according to the City's participation page (toronto.ca). It ends three days before Valentine's Day, so it is a way to scout a restaurant, not a way to book the 14th. Menus and availability on the 14th are the restaurant's own.
Dinner downtown: reservations, drop-offs and timing
The restaurant decides the evening. Here is how a car fits around a reservation:
- Ask the restaurant where cars stop. Many downtown restaurants have no formal drop-off zone. A chauffeur will stop where it is legal and safe, often on the nearest side street, and you walk a short way.
- Arrive five to ten minutes early, not on the minute. A coat check, a cold line at the door or a table that is a few minutes late are all normal on the 14th.
- Tell your chauffeur the dessert plan. If you are lingering, say so. If you have to be at a theatre at 8:00, say that too.
- Keep the car on standby, not circling. A chauffeur who waits at a legal spot nearby is easier to reach than a driver who is dispatched from across the city.
For central routes, the whole trip is short. Union Station to the Entertainment District is a few minutes; the booker shows the exact fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm, and the fare is fixed.
360 Restaurant at the CN Tower, from the curb
For the night that deserves a view, the revolving 360 Restaurant at the CN Tower is the obvious choice. The CN Tower's website says the restaurant completes one rotation every 72 minutes, that bookings are made through its OpenTable link, and that 360 guests do not need to buy a separate admission ticket (cntower.ca). The site also notes a minimum food spend per person, which covers the elevator ride and access to the Observation Levels after the meal. The site lists proposal and celebration packages as well.

The main entrance is at 290 Bremner Boulevard, between Rogers Centre and Ripley's Aquarium. The CN Tower's directions page says guests may be dropped off and picked up on Bremner Boulevard, and that it is the most convenient spot for access (getting here). Two curb notes:
- The walk from the curb feels long in February. Dress for the cold before you leave the car.
- If there is a game or concert at Rogers Centre, expect crowds on Bremner. Check the stadium schedule before you commit to a pickup time.
If anyone in your party uses a wheelchair, the CN Tower's accessibility page describes a restricted-mobility entrance on the south side of the main entrance, reached from Bremner Boulevard, and recommends mentioning wheelchair access when you book the restaurant (accessibility). Accessible drop-off is on Bremner Boulevard just south of the Tower. For an afternoon visit instead of a dinner, our CN Tower, Ripley's and Harbourfront guide covers the whole neighbourhood.
The show: King Street West and the theatres
The Mirvish theatres are the heart of the Entertainment District: the Royal Alexandra Theatre at 260 King Street West and the Princess of Wales Theatre at 300 King Street West. Mirvish's directions page says both are near St. Andrew subway station, and that from Union Station you can ride the University line one stop or walk about ten minutes (mirvish.com).
For a car, the theatre publishes a pointer: look for signage posted on King Street West between Simcoe Street and John Street, near the Royal Alexandra's main entrance, for drop-off and pick-up. That is the practical meeting point. Beyond that, King Street is a busy corridor with traffic rules that favour streetcars, so a chauffeur works around the current signage and may place the car on a side street for the pickup. Your car will be waiting for the final curtain, but not necessarily at the front door; expect a short walk, and agree a meeting point before the interval.
For other concert halls, see our guide to Roy Thomson Hall and the theatre district and Massey Hall concert night.
A winter walk: Nathan Phillips Square and Harbourfront
A skate or a walk can be a good start to a Valentine's evening. The City of Toronto says outdoor artificial rinks typically open in late November and close for the season in March, that drop-in skating programs are free, and that skate rentals are available at Nathan Phillips Square during the winter season only (toronto.ca). The page notes that hours vary, so check the City before you go. Nathan Phillips Square is within walking distance of the King Street theatres.

Harbourfront Centre, at 235 Queens Quay West, is a 3 to 5 minute walk south of Union Station at the foot of Lower Simcoe Street, according to its directions page, and the 509 Harbourfront streetcar has its nearest stop at the campus (harbourfrontcentre.com). In February the waterfront is windy and the lake is grey. If you want fresh air, keep the walk short and the pickup close.
An evening, hour by hour
This is a sample for a Sunday dinner and a 8 p.m. show. Change the times to match your tickets.
- 5:30 p.m. The car collects you. A pickup from a home in the GTA would start earlier, which depends on the distance and the traffic.
- 6:15 p.m. Drop at the restaurant. The chauffeur parks legally nearby or leaves and returns.
- 7:30 p.m. Message the chauffeur when the main course is cleared. This is the best way to avoid a rushed dessert.
- 7:45 p.m. Short drive or walk to the theatre.
- 8:00 p.m. The curtain. The chauffeur waits within reach, not at the door.
- 10:30 p.m. Final bow. Meet the car at the agreed point, a block or two from the crowd.
- 11:00 p.m. Home, or a late drink if the Monday holiday makes that possible.
For a Wednesday or Thursday, the pace is the same but the traffic is lighter. If your plan stretches beyond one or two stops, the hourly service is the right model, because it keeps the vehicle with you.
Vehicles: what fits two, and what fits a celebration

- Executive Sedan. Up to three passengers with two large and two carry-on bags. The natural choice for a couple.
- Luxury SUV. Up to six passengers and five to six large bags. Good for two couples sharing a night, or a couple with someone who needs more space or a winter coat pile.
- Stretch limousine. Eight to ten passengers, booked by the hour. Availability and the exact vehicle are confirmed at booking. It suits a group of friends celebrating together, though it is bigger than a downtown evening for two requires. See the stretch limo page.
Alcohol rules follow Ontario law and are confirmed at booking, and we never promise drinks on board. If you plan to drink with dinner, the car is the reason you do not have to think about the drive home.
Winter weather, February style
February in Toronto can be bright and cold, grey and wet, or snowy. None of it is unusual, and all of it affects timing:
- Snow slows every route. If snow is forecast, leave extra time before the reservation.
- Freezing rain makes sidewalks slippery. Wear shoes with grip, even for a short walk from the curb.
- Cold makes a long walk unpleasant. Plan the pickup point to be as close to the door as the curb allows.
Honest alternatives: subway, taxi and driving yourself
For a couple staying within the downtown core, the subway and a short walk are a real option. St. Andrew station serves the theatres, and Union Station connects to Harbourfront and the CN Tower area.
| Option | Time | Cost note | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| TTC subway and walking | Short within the core | Lowest | Couples who like to walk, in mild weather |
| Taxi | Similar to a car | Meter, plus waiting on busy nights | Short hops between venues |
| Rideshare | Similar to a car | Surge on Valentine's night | Spur-of-the-moment trips |
| Drive and park | Door to door, plus parking | Parking near venues | People who want their own car |
| Private chauffeur | Door to door, car waits | Fixed fare via booker | Dinner plus a show, cold nights, a surprise |
Driving yourself is realistic if you do not plan to drink and you have a reservation at a venue with parking. The Princess of Wales Theatre has a parking garage beneath it, entered from John Street, whose hours depend on the day and are subject to change, according to Mirvish. Demand can exceed capacity, so do not rely on it for a last-minute arrival.
Surprises, anniversaries and proposals
If you want the evening to be a surprise, tell the booker. The pickup address, the first stop and the final stop are all that your guest needs to know, and the rest can stay private. If you are planning a proposal, the CN Tower lists proposal packages on its site, and you can tell us the schedule so the car arrives at the right place at the right time. Keep the logistics simple on that night: fewer moving parts, fewer failure points.
Birthdays and anniversaries follow the same pattern, and our Toronto limo service page lists the occasions we cover.
Booking and cancellation
Book as early as you can. Valentine's Day is the one night of the year when every restaurant, theatre and car is wanted at once. When you book, give the pickup address, the venues in order, the times of the reservation and the show, the number of passengers, and a mobile number for the chauffeur. The online booker shows the exact all-in fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm, and the fare is fixed.
Our cancellation terms: more than 72 hours' notice no charge; 72 hours or less 10%; 48 hours or less 50%; 24 hours or less or no-show 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Our dispatch is available 24/7, and vehicles and chauffeurs are licensed and commercially insured.
Frequently asked questions
When is Valentine's Day in 2027, and is it a long weekend?
February 14, 2027 is a Sunday, and Family Day is Monday, February 15, so Ontario has a long weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday are busy for restaurants and theatres, so book early.
Can a limo wait for me during dinner and a show?
Yes. That is the idea of hourly service. The chauffeur waits at a legal spot nearby, not necessarily at the front door, and meets you at an agreed point. The booker shows the exact fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm.
Where does a car stop for the CN Tower and 360 Restaurant?
The CN Tower says guests may be dropped off and picked up on Bremner Boulevard, at 290 Bremner Boulevard. If someone needs accessible drop-off, it is on Bremner Boulevard just south of the Tower.
Where do cars stop for the Royal Alexandra and Princess of Wales theatres?
Mirvish points drivers to signage on King Street West between Simcoe Street and John Street. Your chauffeur may use a side street for the pickup, and you agree the meeting point before the interval.
Is Winterlicious running on Valentine's Day?
According to the City of Toronto, Winterlicious 2027 runs from January 29 to February 11, so it ends before Valentine's Day. Reservations on the 14th are at each restaurant's own menu and terms.
Can I drink in the limo?
Alcohol rules follow Ontario law and are confirmed at booking, and we never promise drinks on board. If you plan to drink with dinner, a chauffeur removes the need to drive.
What vehicle should two people book?
An Executive Sedan takes up to three passengers with two large and two carry-on bags. A Luxury SUV is the choice if you want more space or you are travelling with coats and gifts.
What is the cancellation policy?
More than 72 hours' notice: no charge. 72 hours or less: 10%. 48 hours or less: 50%. 24 hours or less or no-show: 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time.
