Exhibition Place behaves like a small city that fills and empties on a calendar. On a quiet Tuesday you can drive in, park near the door and leave without noticing the crowd. On the opening morning of a large trade show, or the first Saturday of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, the same roads back up from the lakeshore to the gates. This guide is for exhibitors, buyers, delegates and fair-goers who want an Enercare Centre car service that arrives where it needs to and leaves without a scramble.
We write it from the curb. Where the venue publishes its own rules we use them, and where it does not, we say that the chauffeur confirms the exact stopping place on the day.
Exhibition Place and the Enercare Centre: where everything sits
Exhibition Place sits at 100 Princes' Boulevard on the Toronto waterfront, west of the downtown core. Its own website lists the Enercare Centre alongside the Automotive Building, the Better Living Centre, the Queen Elizabeth Building, Bandshell Park and StudioEx. The Enercare Centre is the building behind most of the large trade shows and consumer shows, while the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair also takes place at Exhibition Place each November.
That matters for a car booking because "Exhibition Place" is not one door. A show in the Automotive Building and a show in the Enercare Centre both carry the same street address, but the walk between them is not short, and the nearest vehicle gate is different. When you book, tell us the building name, not only the event name.
How far is Exhibition Place from Pearson and from downtown?

Exhibition Place is about 28 km from Toronto Pearson, usually 30 to 50 minutes depending on the Gardiner Expressway and the 427. From Union Station and the downtown hotels it is roughly 3 to 4 km, often 10 to 20 minutes. The booker shows the exact fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm.
The airport run is a straight line on a map and a slow one on a Monday morning. A chauffeur from Pearson usually takes Highway 427 south and the Gardiner east, then leaves at the exit that serves the lakeshore side of the grounds. The Gardiner is the weak link. A lane closure or a collision can add twenty minutes in either direction, and in winter a light snowfall adds more. We track your flight, so if you land early or late the pickup follows the real arrival time.
From Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport the trip is shorter, about 5 km and often 15 minutes outside peak hours. Our page on limo service in Toronto lists the airports and downtown hotels we serve, and the Pearson airport limo page explains the terminal pickups.
The five vehicle gates, explained
Exhibition Place publishes five vehicle entrances: Dufferin and Saskatchewan, Strachan Avenue and Manitoba Drive, Newfoundland and Lake Shore Boulevard, Ontario Drive and Lake Shore Boulevard, and British Columbia and Lake Shore Boulevard. The venue asks drivers to set a navigation app to Exhibition Place and allow extra time.
Here is how a dispatcher uses that list. A car coming from downtown on Lake Shore Boulevard has three gates to choose from along the south edge. A car coming from the north, through Liberty Village, is more likely to use the Strachan and Manitoba entrance. A car from the west and the Dufferin side uses the Dufferin and Saskatchewan entrance. Which gate is best depends on which building you want and on what the traffic marshals have decided that morning, so we check the venue's road closures page before the pickup and choose the gate on the day.
The venue also publishes a page of road closures and transit service disruptions, and we recommend you look at it the night before. A film shoot, an event on the lakefront or a closure on Lake Shore Boulevard can change the best gate.
What is on at Exhibition Place this autumn?
The Exhibition Place calendar, as listed at the time of writing in October 2026, gives a good picture of how many kinds of crowds use the grounds. It lists the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology annual meeting in the Automotive Building from October 15 to 18, the Toronto Waterfront Marathon expo in the Better Living Centre on October 16 and 17, Electricity Transformation Canada in the Enercare Centre from October 19 to 21, and the Toronto Ski and Snowboard Show in the Better Living Centre from October 23 to 25. It also lists the Navrang Navratri Festival Canada in the Enercare Centre on October 24 and 25, and the UHN Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival in the Enercare Centre on October 28.

Dates change from year to year, so treat this list as an example, not a promise. Check the official calendar before you plan, and book your car once the dates are confirmed. Our guide to Toronto events by car collects seasonal planning pages.
Trade shows: the multi-day schedule problem
A trade show is the hardest booking to plan because the days are not alike. Day one is load-in or an early opening, day two is the busiest, and the last day is the early exit for flights and the long drive home. A good plan has three parts.

- Arrival day. Book the airport pickup with flight tracking, and put the hotel, not the venue, as the drop-off. Hotels downtown and near the airport both work, and the choice changes the drive time.
- Show days. Book a morning drop-off at the building you need and a flexible afternoon pickup. If the hall closes at six and the evening reception starts at seven, leave a gap for the stand teardown.
- Departure day. Check the show's last-day closing time and leave a buffer for the Gardiner. Many people lose their flights by planning the final afternoon with no margin.
If your trip also takes in downtown, our guide to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre covers that side. Our corporate car service page explains how business accounts handle repeat bookings across a week, and the event transportation page covers staged shuttles for large teams.
Parking at Exhibition Place and why transit is the venue's first advice
The venue says plainly that transit is the preferred way to reach Exhibition Place, because the grounds draw large crowds and heavy traffic. It lists 5,400 parking spaces, 1,300 of them underground, with an Enercare Centre Garage of 850 spaces and a series of surface lots numbered 851 to 859. It warns that spaces fill quickly and that parking rates are subject to change, and for the Enercare Centre alone it lists 1,280 on-site spaces.

Parking is not your problem when a chauffeur drives you. What matters is the stopping place. The venue says taxis are available at the main entrances, and it lists drop-off points for both GO Transit and the TTC directly on the grounds. It does not publish a general drop-off area for private cars, so your chauffeur confirms the best curb with you by phone on the day. A cross street, a hall number and a mobile number is usually enough.
GO Exhibition, the streetcars and when the train wins
Exhibition GO station is on the grounds, one stop from Union Station. The venue notes that the station's north-side entrance opened on October 25, 2024, that the sidewalk from Atlantic Avenue to the station is permanently closed and that a pick-up and drop-off area is on Atlantic Avenue. For a delegate staying near Union Station, GO is usually the fastest, lowest-cost and calmest way to reach a major show.
The TTC also serves the grounds. Streetcars run from Union Station and from Bathurst Station to the Exhibition loop, and a bus serves the Dufferin side. Service patterns change, so use the TTC trip planner. The honest comparison table below shows how the options differ for a single traveller and for a team.
| Option | Typical time | Cost note | Best for | |---|---|---|---| | GO train from Union | About a short ride, then a walk in | Lowest | Solo delegates staying downtown | | TTC streetcar or bus | Slower in busy hours | Low | Visitors comfortable with transit | | Taxi at a main entrance | Varies with the line | Meter plus surcharges | Spur-of-the-moment trips | | Rideshare | Varies with demand | Meter style, can surge | Short light-luggage trips | | Private chauffeur from Pearson or a hotel | 30 to 50 minutes from Pearson | Fixed fare via booker | Exhibitors, teams, late arrivals, luggage |
If you are staying near Union Station with a single bag, the GO train is hard to beat for a show at Exhibition Place. A booked car makes sense for luggage, group travel, formal clothes and anything after the last convenient train.
Exhibitors: carrying people, not freight
Exhibitors face two transport problems, the booth and the people. The venue and the show organiser manage freight, forklifts and loading docks. We carry the people and their personal luggage, laptops and hand-carried samples. Tell us if anyone is bringing a banner, a pop-up display or a tube of printed material. A Luxury SUV takes five or six large bags, an Executive Sprinter seats 12 to 14 passengers with 12 or more bags, and an Executive Sedan takes two large and two carry-on bags.
For an exhibitor team the best habit is an early pickup on the opening morning. Queues at the gates tend to build as opening time approaches, and an early car avoids them.
The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in November
The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is held every November at Exhibition Place, according to the fair's own site, and its visitor hours are 9 am to 6 pm on Sundays and Mondays and 9 am to 8 pm from Tuesday to Saturday. The 2026 dates are published on the fair's own plan-a-visit page, so we do not guess them here.
For visitors the Royal is a family day with livestock, horses and food halls, and for horse-show evenings it is a formal night out. Winter weather matters. A coat, a stroller and wet boots change what a car needs to do, and the stopping place near the Enercare Centre can be slippery. Our companion guide on visiting the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair goes into the day-by-day detail. Families who need a child seat can request it at booking, and the car seat service page explains the options.
Consumer shows, festivals and the Navratri crowds
Consumer shows and cultural festivals bring a different crowd. An evening Navratri event has dressed-up groups arriving at the same time, and a ski and snowboard show has people carrying gear. For groups, an Executive Sprinter or a mini-coach is often better than several cars, and the party-bus option is covered on our party bus Toronto page. Stretch limousines, party buses and coaches are hourly bookings, and availability and the exact vehicle are confirmed at booking.
For festival nights, alcohol rules follow Ontario law and are confirmed at booking. We do not promise drinks on board.
Match days, concerts and the overlap problem
Exhibition Place also holds stadium games and concerts, and an event in one hall can overlap with a match or a show elsewhere on the grounds. On those days the road system is the bottleneck, and the venue's event parking rates and entrances change. Our guide to BMO Field and Exhibition Place on match days explains how those days work, and the concert and sports limo page covers late pickups. If your trade show falls on a match day, ask us to plan the arrival one hour earlier and the departure one hour later.
Accessibility, families and winter
The venue lists 88 accessible parking spaces across its surface lots and indoor garage, near entrances and building access points. If a delegate has mobility needs, mention it at booking so that the chauffeur can assist at the curb. In winter the long distances between buildings matter more, so tell us which building and which door.
Child, toddler and booster seats are available when requested at booking. Winter conditions on the lakeshore can be harsh, with wind off the lake and ice near the gates, and a chauffeur who knows the roads makes a real difference to the drive.

Frequently asked questions
How far is the Enercare Centre from Pearson Airport?
It is about 28 km from Toronto Pearson, usually 30 to 50 minutes depending on the Gardiner Expressway and the 427. The booker shows the exact fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm.
Which gate should my car use for the Enercare Centre?
Exhibition Place has five vehicle entrances, at Dufferin and Saskatchewan, Strachan and Manitoba, and three on Lake Shore Boulevard. Your chauffeur checks the venue's road closures before pickup and chooses the gate on the day. Give us the building name when you book.
Is it better to take the GO train to Exhibition Place?
For one traveller staying near Union Station, yes. Exhibition GO is on the grounds and the venue calls transit the preferred way to arrive. A private car is better for luggage, groups, formal clothes or late finishes.
Can a limo drop me at the door of the Enercare Centre?
The venue does not publish a general drop-off area for private cars, so the chauffeur confirms the best stopping place with you on the day. Taxis use the main entrances.
Do you serve the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair?
Yes. The fair runs every November at Exhibition Place, and the 2026 dates are on royalfair.org. Book once the dates are confirmed, and ask for a child seat if you need one.
Can you carry exhibitors and their luggage?
Yes. We carry people, personal luggage and hand-carried samples. Freight and booth materials follow the show's own loading process. An executive Sprinter handles 12 to 14 travellers and at least a dozen cases.
What is your cancellation policy for show bookings?
With more than 72 hours' notice there is no charge. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10 percent, at 48 hours or less it is 50 percent, and at 24 hours or less or a no-show it is 100 percent, measured from the scheduled pickup time.
Can I book a party bus for a festival night at Exhibition Place?
Party buses and mini-coaches are hourly bookings for 20 to 30 passengers, and availability and the exact vehicle are confirmed at booking. Alcohol rules follow Ontario law and are confirmed at booking.
